[ Kenzi had threatened Paige with a ladies night and of course, if anyone needed a night out it was Bo. The fact that there's also a talking Tree, a drinking Raccoon and... Drax? It's Kenzi. Why is anyone shocked by the people that she spends time with? She has ideas and they spin out of control and you just sort of hang on for the ride. It's her way. She may have casually mentioned they were coming here to a few other people, so if you happen to show up as well? The more the merrier.

The location itself isn't exactly filled with the garish glitz and glamor that a person generally associates with Vegas. Pandora has a British Pub meets modern day speakeasy feel to it. It's known for its signature cocktails with names like Panty Dropper and the Hot Little Mess and you can always count on live entertainment in the form of dancers, magicians, a band and of course, a DJ. It also happens to be one of the few clubs that has an open door policy where Shadowkind are concerned. Whether they'll be rethinking said policy after tonight? We just don't know. ]

[She glances over to him with a small smile, and bumps him back in return.]

[It's not one hundred percent her birthday, but she'll take it all the same.]

Of course. Wouldn't miss it. [He's doing his best to have a good night. He needs it. Cora needs it. And he doesn't want to be the one dragging down the party.]

This place is pretty cool.

Yeah, it is. Not too loud either.

I was a little skeptical when Lila said "club" but I guess it could have been worse.

[She could have picked somewhere really loud and crazy.]

Always the best review of a birthday party: 'it could have been worse.'

[His half hearted smile gives away that he's just teasing. He gets it. It's hard to get into the partying mood with everything going on.]

It's weird being back in the States. [As evidenced by the fact that he's been living in England so long that he's calling it 'the States']

I tried to google my address to see how far of a drive it would be, but... I guess Beacon Hills isn't a place that exists here. I think it's like 9 or 10 hours by car, though. [Because my research is saying that it's in NoCal near San Fran.]

I dunno. Just hard not to think about it now that we're this close.

Do you want to go check it out?

[She's not as emotionally attached to Beacon Hills, but if he wants to go, he shouldn't have to go alone.]

I mean, Lila and I went out to the Grand Canyon the other day and no one complained. I don't think they mind long trips as long as they know where we are.

[He blinks, because the idea of actually getting in a car and driving out to California had not hit him as a realistic option of something he could do with his time.]

Really? There wasn't some sort of alarm that went off when you crossed state lines? Huh. [He sits on that thought for a moment, really mulling over if he really wants to make such a long drive just to find a place that, as far as he can tell, doesn't exist.]

I... Yeah, I think I want to. [The more he thinks about it, the more it's less of a want and more of a need. Maybe visiting the place where Beacon Hills should be would help him feel like he could have some closure on Lydia's death.

But none of that is really something you talk about at your friend's birthday party.]

But we can talk about that later. Tomorrow. Sometime soon when it's not your birthday. I'm gonna go get a drink. Want one?

Sure.

[She nods as she goes to follow him back inside, making their way to the bar. But as she pushes herself up on one of the stools, she feels the need to point out:]

You know it's not literally my birthday, right?

I figured, but- [He shrugs] It's as good a day as any to celebrate it, right? [He offers a more genuine smile before disappearing into the crowd to get a pair of drinks. Returning victorious, he holds one out for her.]

So is it close to your birthday? Or did the knowledge go the way of Veilnesia?

Kind of?

[She doesn't really remember much between the fire and the bank vault, but she kind of has the sense that even if she was one hundred percent sure, she hadn't celebrated her birthday in a while.]

I think it was in May?

Not too far from mine. April 8th. So I guess if we make it to May, we'll just have to celebrate all over again.

[She nods in agreement.]

You can pick the next party. Not that I picked this one but if you're picking it that means Lila can't bribe me to get what she wants.
