[ Kenzi had threatened Paige with a ladies night and of course, if anyone needed a night out it was Bo. The fact that there's also a talking Tree, a drinking Raccoon and... Drax? It's Kenzi. Why is anyone shocked by the people that she spends time with? She has ideas and they spin out of control and you just sort of hang on for the ride. It's her way. She may have casually mentioned they were coming here to a few other people, so if you happen to show up as well? The more the merrier.

The location itself isn't exactly filled with the garish glitz and glamor that a person generally associates with Vegas. Pandora has a British Pub meets modern day speakeasy feel to it. It's known for its signature cocktails with names like Panty Dropper and the Hot Little Mess and you can always count on live entertainment in the form of dancers, magicians, a band and of course, a DJ. It also happens to be one of the few clubs that has an open door policy where Shadowkind are concerned. Whether they'll be rethinking said policy after tonight? We just don't know. ]

[ He can't say things like that and expect her to remain unaffected and while she's usually so much better at masking her reaction to his words? There's a very definite sway of her body as if the emotional surge is a physical thing. Kenzi pulling in a slow, shaky breath as it feels like her chest is vibrating from the way his words alter her. ]

Ya know if you keep saying shit like that you'll never get rid of me. [ Trying to inject humor into her tone but as with everything Kenzi says? There's usually more truth to her words than you realize. ]

[ This sure feels like a terrible time to have this conversation but sometimes Kenzi can shock the world and be, perfectly honest. ]

Yeah... well. Maybe if you hadn't bruised my ego. [ No anger in her tone but perhaps there's a lingering... prickle of wounded feelings.

What's stupid is... she's pretty sure he won't even remember what she's talking about and now seems like an excellent time to pull back enough so that she can drink deeply from that bottle. ]

[ There is literally nothing about this conversation that she wants to have right now... but for a moment, just a flicker in her eyes, a tentative parting of her lips suggests that maybe? She will tell him why.

But then the shutters come down and she's shrugging. ]

It doesn't matter. It's... so, not even a thing. [ The casual tone of her voice a little too forced as she takes another swig from that bottle. ]

Come onnnn. [ he unfairly bounces his hips the slightest bit beneath her once she finishes her swig ] If it's not a thing, you can say it.

[ Unf - God damn you, Peter Quill you just made her fail her Will Save.

That initial low groan of need quickly turns into something else, something close to frustration and embarrassment as she swats at his thigh. ]

Oh my god, I cannot talk about this while you're doing - that. [ Still managing to keep it light despite how much she hates everything about this... because there is literally no way for her to tell him why it bothered her - still bothers her, without explaining the whole reason and that's just a little too real talk for somebody like Kenzi. ]

[ There isn't a trace of bitterness there, no jealousy to speak of. Kenzi seems perfectly accepting of the fact that Bo is utterly gorgeous and it's why it generally doesn't bother her that the following is true. ]

[ She takes in a breath, steeling herself for this part because oh my god why is she having to tell him this at all. ]

That wasn't-- [ bless his heart, he rolled a decent sense motive to figure out that this is not, actually, about him, so maybe leaping to the defensive is not the right move here. ]

Look, I don't know about those other idiots out there, and don't tell her this, but your friend? [ he raises a hand and makes a 'meh' gesture and expression ] A little too generic for my tastes.

[ he rakes a very appreciative look across her, biting his lip as he sucks in a breath on a noise of arousal ]

And I don't know if it helps but that cleric thing didn't mean anything, besides "thank God I didn't die by giant scorpion."

[ She remains guarded, a little stiff and there's a definite sense that she is probably one wrong word from getting out of this bed and taking the bottle with her. Kenzi's eyes narrowed as she watches the cogs clunking in his brain as they turn.

She doesn't look like she quite believes his dismissal of Bo, mostly because he has a penis and Bo's appeal is universal but his response to her is enough to see a smile trying to fight its way across her lips, even as she's dramatically rolling her eyes. ]

Oh my god, stop. [ Except, don't.

What actually helps is that Kenzi knows damn well that Astrid is a Doctor, not a cleric but Peter manages to both not say her name or correct her on that fact.

Her Sense Motive 46 probably didn't hurt either. ]

[ The discomfort starting to ease as she allows a playful edge to slip back in. ]

There are some things you probably shouldn't say to the person holding the bottle of champagne. Especially when she goes and fails a Will Save and just, starts to tip it over his head.

Grin on her face or no (totally gonna be grinning if he gets wet)? Worth the waste of alcohol. ]

[ yeah he was too busy preening to expect that and his reflex save was terrible so he gets a bit of a bath before he manages to catch her wrist, still laughing as he tries in vain to wrestle it away ] That's it, you can't be trusted with the booze! It's being confiscated by the Alcohol Corps.

By the time he manages to restrain her, all traces of discomfort have vanished, laughter shaking her frame as triumph and amusement make her eyes shine. ]

[ It's telling to Kenzi that he dwarfs her in size, has her pinned - loose or otherwise - beneath him and completely at his mercy and yet there isn't even a trace of unease. No unwelcome rising panic, which speaks to a level of instinctive trust, she's not quite ready to examine.

Instead she distracts them both by lifting her hips from the mattress, the laughter in her eyes taking on a sinful light as the playful squirming becomes a deliberate roll of her hips. ]

apparently, that is just too much for him and his will saves over here. it's been long enough already that he's already hard again for her, another benefit(???) of that demigodly con score, and with a growl of need, his lips capture hers in a greedy, champagne-flavored kiss as they amp right back up and have at it again. he's smart enough to reach for one of those boxes of condoms no doubt perched on the nightstand at least...

bodice ripping pick you up against the wall sex this is not (str 5), but it does not have to be when you get a dex 20. he was probably not lying about happily going down on her all day and/or any opportunity he gets, and with his charm 32 i'm sure he can undertake the arduous task of, uh... convincing her to let that be a part of the next round too. this, however, apparently has the effect of working him up so much that when they finally get to the thrust-y bits, he probably makes it about ten minutes tops before blastoff (fort 12).

either way, he has very clearly been paying a lot of attention to her reactions the last few times, because he is very quickly learning literally every little thing that she likes/how she wants to be touched and putting that knowledge to serious work (wis 18 so proud) ]
