The Enclave houses a room for Knights briefings, although it requires nothing more than a simple slide of the keycard to enter - lacking some of the pageantry of the castle, certainly. Instead of the ancient table and giant, impressive crystal dragon statue, they are faced with a simple set of office furniture, that, while probably more comfortable, seems to drive home their displacement. Still, the room hosts some impressive technology, closer to what the Knights' downtown London briefing room had to offer, complete with a holoscreen.

Some Knights get a summons to the meeting, where Hasmed waits alone for their entrance.

[ Clint lets out a low whistle as he enters, coffee in hand, and nods in appreciation as he takes in the scenery. ]

Daaaang, check this place out. Do we get interns and power yoga later? Or is this more of a tech startup type thing where our desks have wheels?

I hope that means you brought your spandex pants. [ the words follow him in the door playfully from the woman is pretty shamelessly checking out the view. hasmed makes a point of ignoring all of this, but nessa throws a wink to the other two women in the room as she snags a seat ]

[Elijah is also ignoring it but that's mostly because, as he takes a seat, he's hoping this mission won't involve him drinking something he'd really rather not drink again.

I believe that's all of you. Let's get this underway. I'm sure that most of you are aware of the plight facing Shadowkind here in America currently at the hands of the U.S. government: being rounded up and denied rights of citizenship.

There are numerous organizations working under the radar of the law to try to keep them out of the hands of these government officials. One of these groups we've had contact with - they're referring to themselves as the Underground Railroad - a bit heavyhanded, but the idea is easy to understand. They've reached out and asked for assistance with a problem that they've run into. Namely, one of the routes they've been using to get Shadowkind to safely seems to have become the home of some sort of... creature, one that has been attacking those trying to get through.

A shadowkind creature? Or... a chupacabra?

If it's a chupacabra, all we'd need is a little goat's blood to lure it out.

[She is hopeful! Bing bang boom ... it probably won't be this easy, but she's trying to think positive. Never mind whether or not chupacabras are actually real, she grew up in Latin America, she has heard all the stories (knowledge 19).]

That's quite a leap to assumption, don't you think?

Your task will be to investigate this route and determine what is causing these deaths. You can question those working on the Underground Railroad - there will no doubt be some eyewitnesses.
