Rescuing Rafael could have gone much worse... And then did, when Rafael, desperate to feel alive and free again, got himself into a car accident. He came out of it alright, but injured, and they headed back on a plane after a whirlwind wedding had happened the same night between Dean and Rose, which Elena and the fiendish version of Sam had dropped in on - as well as Bobby Singer. After the madness of that night, Jack sent word back to them that if they had any family that they wished to keep safe, they could bring them back to Krozna. Rafael and Isabella insisted on picking up Giorgio, Nellethiel, and their children, Giulia and Pietro. Alainn picked up quite a bit of family as well - her adoptive parents and siblings from Ireland.   They return to Krozna together, where everyone can get acquainted and recover from the ordeal of their close calls in New Orleans before pressing forward.   There would be months for them to train, and the pace of life in Krozna to settle in, far from the chaos of the rest of the world.  

The date is now quickly approaching for the upcoming meeting at the "Darkhouse" where they hope to acquire more leads about the dagger that was used by Blade in the ritual to kill his father, Malaak'a.  

This log covers all social things for Failboat between the first social log and the Darkhouse (months worth of time skip).

[ vi looks up from some miscellaneous art project for the girls and abandons it immediately to leap up and gather felicity in a hug. she's smiling so no one must have died. ]

Is Rafael...?

[She returns the hug just as eagerly. Hugs are just going to be a thing now when one of them manages to come back to safe. She leans into it, before pulling back with a nod.]

He's okay. Pretty beat up, and probably with some brand new mental scars, but he's alive.

Is anyone hurt, I can...

[ no, myri's here still, vi isn't necessary. she brushes aside her own beginnings of a question. isabella will be back in their shared room soon enough if she can leave raf's side. vi wouldn't blame her if she didn't. ]

Are you okay?

[She nods. She did take some damage, but nothing a good nights sleep couldn't fix.]

I spent most of the time in an air duct. Worst I got was a little temporary deafness.

[ vi strokes her hand through felicity's hair, thrown a bit by the differences she is still getting used to. same height, silkier hair. ]

Good, you're not allowed to get hurt for a little while. I need a breather.

I will do my best to make that happen.

[Because she doesn't actually enjoy getting hurt.]

Also, we, and by we I mean Sam and his big research brain, did some digging into the knife that was used during the ascension and there's a new goddess in the mix. We can't say her name, so I am calling her "quesadilla" and doing my best to make it stick.

First of all, I love that you call her Quesedilla, it's sticking, that's it, that's her name now, but I totally don't know any goddess whose name even resembles Quesedilla. No, that's a lie, there is Circe. She could double for a delicious melty cheese tortilla but for some reason I don't think she is the one. No offense to her, turning men into pigs is a great endeavor.

[ all that to say that vi needs a teeny bit more to go on. ]

Not Circe. I also think she goes by Mystra here.

[Apparently Felicity was researching stuff with Lila once upon a time? (knowledge 20 total) Who knows.]

But she's the goddess of Despayr? With a capital D and a weird fancy spelling that replaces I's with Y's.

[ vi jots that down. ]

Sounds... horrific, [ she decides with a big fake smile. ] I hate replacement letters. Fucking Kardashians of gods.

Agreed.

[It's the actual worst.]

But they think they've found a guy who happens to have the knife we need, so we're probably going to wind up infiltrating their group at some point.

The knife that he used for the patricide? Well, that's a lead. I like a good lead. You came home with a half-elf and a lead. That's awesome.

We also came with a couple tinier half-elves, a whole elf, and a gaggle of Irish folk.

[After a pause.]

We picked up some friends of Isabella and Rafael's, and Alainn's family.

A whole entire family, wow.

I'm glad they're safe, though. It must be so stressful to have family out there.

[klep]

[She nods because yes it is. Gus will be fine, or at least that's what she hopes.]

Gus' mom is prepared to die in Korea if it comes to it. Which is both horrifying and probably why she's my favorite person after you.

That's hardcore on a grandma from Dante's Peak level and I support her, 100%.

[ vi gets it; the castle was the closest thing to home since she was at camp and she hated leaving it but she knew she had to. ]

[She nods.]

I hope she stays safe there. I know it's her choice but I also know that if something happens to her ...

[She would not be okay. Gus would also probably not be okay, as that's the last of his immediate family and that would just suck.]

She's got this.

[ she touches felicity's arm in comfort. that would be just another blow to felicity that she doesn't need. felicity deserves a rest. ]

She does.

[She glances over to Vi with a small smile.]

And so do we.

We fuckin' better.

Come on,. [ she jerks her head toward a direction. ] There's soup in the kitchen. Let's eat while you fill me in on the rest of the mission. You know I hate secrets.

[She nods in agreement.]

Yes. Soup sounds delicious right about now.

[And she will roll up to give Vi some room to get up.]
