Rescuing Rafael could have gone much worse... And then did, when Rafael, desperate to feel alive and free again, got himself into a car accident. He came out of it alright, but injured, and they headed back on a plane after a whirlwind wedding had happened the same night between Dean and Rose, which Elena and the fiendish version of Sam had dropped in on - as well as Bobby Singer. After the madness of that night, Jack sent word back to them that if they had any family that they wished to keep safe, they could bring them back to Krozna. Rafael and Isabella insisted on picking up Giorgio, Nellethiel, and their children, Giulia and Pietro. Alainn picked up quite a bit of family as well - her adoptive parents and siblings from Ireland. They return to Krozna together, where everyone can get acquainted and recover from the ordeal of their close calls in New Orleans before pressing forward. There would be months for them to train, and the pace of life in Krozna to settle in, far from the chaos of the rest of the world.

The date is now quickly approaching for the upcoming meeting at the "Darkhouse" where they hope to acquire more leads about the dagger that was used by Blade in the ritual to kill his father, Malaak'a.

This log covers all social things for Failboat between the first social log and the Darkhouse (months worth of time skip).

[ There's a flicker of understand in her dark eyes, Rose's features twisting as she searches for the words she's looking for. ]

Maybe you don't need to get back to your old self? You just have to, get to know who you are now.

[ Or so she hears. Squints. ]

And who is that? [ he sounds thoughtful at least, turning the words over as he truly considers them ]

[ She can't tell him that anymore than he can tell himself right now and if she were more eloquent she'd say a bunch of crap about the journey and some other flowery words.

Instead she looks out across the view from the roof, taking in the sights of a place she'd paid little attention to until they'd returned from New Orleans. ]

Who do you want it to be? [ Glancing back in his direction. ]

[ he follows her gaze out across the landscape, equally beautiful and somewhat desolate as it is ]

Someone who does not let what their friends did for them be in vain.

[ Rose allows his reply to hang between them, crisp air almost burning her insides as it fills her lungs. ]

Then you won't. [ As if it could be that simple. ] The fact that you can think like that means you're already halfway there.

[ his head tilts back, and he closes his eyes a bit against the chill air ]

I know we will win this. But I think that Buffy is right. I will not be much use until I have regained some of my strength.

Well that's crap. [ The serenity broken as those words tumble out of her mouth. ]

Take care of yourself, sure, but you're only as useless as you let yourself be.

It's not always about being on the frontline.

I am not used to much else. I am not sure how much I can do elsewhere.

[ She at least looks like she wants to argue, but how can she? She wasn't a healer, like Myri. She wasn't smart. like Sam. Her usefulness began and ended in the fight... but Raf? ]

You're like... a super famous singer who takes on bad guys in his spare time. [ Dude she's sure you'll find something. ] Plus I don't buy you being out of commission for long.

[ Sure, he probably should take it easy, he just doesn't strike her as the type who could. ]

I am not sure my fame would do much more than make me a target were I to return to NOVA right now.

I don't mean that. [ Chuckling softly. ] Just - [ Shaking her head. ] You're not one thing. You've never been just one thing.

Maybe you're not ready to launch into the middle of things. That doesn't make you useless.

You are very wise, do you know that? [ he sounds amused, but grateful ] For now, I am happy to be back with Buffy, and the rest of you.

[ She looks at him for a quiet moment, the ghost of a smile skating across her lips as his words tease a memory to the surface. ]

Only when I'm talking to you, apparently.

Your advice served me well before. I will have to take it again.

[ She laughs again but this time it lacks humor. She'd been giving him advice based on her relationship with Dimitri and the very next day it had all gone to shit. ]

Honestly, I'm probably the last person anyone should take advice from. [ Trying to force her mouth to resemble something close to a smile. ] But if it helped.

How have things been for you with all of this?

[ Lines crease the corners of eyes that darken, Rose's mouth pulling into a tight line and while she really does think she's trying her best to reign in her anger... I rolled a whopping 2.

There's a swell of magic that comes with her flaring temper and just as the Winchester Brothers had seen before, a soft light that begins to form at her center, spreads out through her body, Rose aware of what's happening but unable to do much at all to stop it.

Her body radiates with tension, her fingers curling into the palms of her hands and she lets out a huff that is perhaps more irritation than anger as she glares at her traitorous fists, the light seeming to brighten then fade like a pulse as she wrestles herself to find a sense of calm. ]

Are you sure you want me to answer?

[ his eyes widen a bit at the soft glow, although to be honest, he's seen a lot weirder things, so he doesn't freak out ]

Only if you want to speak of it.

[ With a concentrated effort on Rose's part, the soft light slowly ebbs away (Will Save 30). Her breathing labored as she tries to force a calm that she in no way feels. ]

They've been... not great with a side of, I glow now. [ The humor she tries to inject coming out a little hard as her fingers flex and curl. ] So there's that.

Where does it come from? [ that seems like a delicate enough question ]

I have... [ Shaking her head. ] No idea. It's...

[ She looks uncomfortable now, almost like she doesn't want to admit this next part. ]

Divine? Or, something? I guess, anyway.

[ he considers that for a moment, before he says: ] Sehanine? Or... someone else?

[ Rose stares at him, blinking like a mute idiot. His simple question, oddly jarring given what her world existed of. ]

Sehanine? [ The thought that this could be anything other than more bullshit from Heaven and Hell had frankly, never crossed her mind. It hadn't seemed to cross any of their minds, given how it had been discovered. ]

No - I... [ She dismisses it just as quickly as she considers it, however, because what is she to Sehanine? What is she to any God or Goddess? ]

I just figured - with everything... [ She wasn't about to admit that she thinks it's probably an unexpected consequence of being rezzed by Lucifer himself. ] Who even knows.

She knows you are trying to help. She has done what she can to help several of us, knowing that we are trying to stop Blade.

It is not so far fetched to think.

Yeah but I'm not Buffy, Violet or Myri. I'm - [ She lets out a huff of air, shaking her head. ] I'm a half Vampire whose best known for the fact that her ex-best friend is now the Queen of Hell.

[ And again. Was rezzed by Lucifer. ]

I imagine there are quite a few people that would rank above me when it comes to divine intervention. [ Her tone matter of fact, easy. Like this isn't something that upsets her but rather something she expects and accepts. ]
