Rescuing Rafael could have gone much worse... And then did, when Rafael, desperate to feel alive and free again, got himself into a car accident. He came out of it alright, but injured, and they headed back on a plane after a whirlwind wedding had happened the same night between Dean and Rose, which Elena and the fiendish version of Sam had dropped in on - as well as Bobby Singer. After the madness of that night, Jack sent word back to them that if they had any family that they wished to keep safe, they could bring them back to Krozna. Rafael and Isabella insisted on picking up Giorgio, Nellethiel, and their children, Giulia and Pietro. Alainn picked up quite a bit of family as well - her adoptive parents and siblings from Ireland. They return to Krozna together, where everyone can get acquainted and recover from the ordeal of their close calls in New Orleans before pressing forward. There would be months for them to train, and the pace of life in Krozna to settle in, far from the chaos of the rest of the world.
The date is now quickly approaching for the upcoming meeting at the "Darkhouse" where they hope to acquire more leads about the dagger that was used by Blade in the ritual to kill his father, Malaak'a.
This log covers all social things for Failboat between the first social log and the Darkhouse (months worth of time skip).

[He's...making a poor joke, but he's also not wrong okay? This is legit a thing that happens.]
I can heal myself if it comes to that.
[He thinks his face is pretty tough, though.]
Besides, I don't think there's many faces in this world that you might want to temporarily break more than mine, right? [He lifts his brows expectantly before he braces himself, gesturing again for her to go for it.] Come on.

You need to be conscious to do that. [ Dry AF.
She stiffens a little at his next retort, shadows running across her features and bombing another Will Save he'd see that it's not quite that simple for her. That as angry as she is at the other Sam for what he's done - not just their wedding but what he did to Dean before that - There might not be the satisfaction that he's promising in breaking his face. ]
What makes you think I'd stop there? [ Recovering with a raise of her eyebrows as she folds her arms across her chest. ]

[In her. In them. They're family.]
So why don't you have a little faith that you won't completely knock me on my ass?

[ There's a shift in her dark eyes, anger giving way to some other emotion but it's hard to know if it's pain or frustration. There and gone in the blink of an eye. ]
Hasn't this family shed enough blood for Hell already.
[ Not a question. A fact. One that's a little too honest, even for her liking. ]

[He sounds a little distant at that, glancing briefly down at the ground before he shakes his head.]
I'd be shedding it for you, Rose. Not them. Never them.
[He walks closer to her, bending down ever so slightly so he isn't standing over her before placing a hand on her shoulder.]
It's alright not to be okay. You don't have to just hold it in all the time. Not around me.
no subject
If I'm hitting you while wishing it was them... It's same thing.
[ Her brow furrows as he draws closer, Rose eyeing him almost cautiously as he drops a hand on her shoulder in a display of casual affection and concern that tips her off balance. She's been living in near isolation for so long that she hasn't noticed how little she'd had this. Somebody who she could allow this close to her that wasn't Dean. ]
Is it? [ Alright for her to not be okay. ] Because I can't afford not to be. None of us can.
no subject
[He'll give her that one, so he lets it go, instead focusing on what she says next.]
It'd just be between you and me. I know you're trying to keep it all in because of Dean. I am, too. But you gotta have an outlet somewhere or you're just gonna implode someday. Or light up like a Christmas tree at the wrong moment.
[He grins slightly, indicating that last part was a joke.]
no subject
What I need? [ Her tone too controlled as not even his joke is capable of penetrating the mask she's slipped over her features. ] I'll never get.
Talking about that is just going to piss me off more. [ She slips away from his touch then, taking a moment to untie and retie her hair. ] I'm fine, Sam.
no subject
He doesn't comment at all, simply tilts his head back toward the direction they were jogging before he moves back into a brisk pace, staying quiet this time.]

[ Of course, she wasn't fine. Fine left the station somewhere around entering her twenties and she's been careening towards 'Nothing will ever be okay again' ever since. The thing is, she truly believes that she has to be fine, or this house of cards that she's been living in will collapse around her. If she breaks, then it will break Dean and Rose can't, won't do that to him.
And so she starts to run again, trying to ignore the roaring in her chest and the twisting in her gut. Her heard pounding with the rage she's so determined to swallow and yet cling to at the same time. The anger was easier to handle most days, much easier than the despair and when both seemed impossible? There was just this. ]
