Rescuing Rafael could have gone much worse... And then did, when Rafael, desperate to feel alive and free again, got himself into a car accident. He came out of it alright, but injured, and they headed back on a plane after a whirlwind wedding had happened the same night between Dean and Rose, which Elena and the fiendish version of Sam had dropped in on - as well as Bobby Singer. After the madness of that night, Jack sent word back to them that if they had any family that they wished to keep safe, they could bring them back to Krozna. Rafael and Isabella insisted on picking up Giorgio, Nellethiel, and their children, Giulia and Pietro. Alainn picked up quite a bit of family as well - her adoptive parents and siblings from Ireland.   They return to Krozna together, where everyone can get acquainted and recover from the ordeal of their close calls in New Orleans before pressing forward.   There would be months for them to train, and the pace of life in Krozna to settle in, far from the chaos of the rest of the world.  

The date is now quickly approaching for the upcoming meeting at the "Darkhouse" where they hope to acquire more leads about the dagger that was used by Blade in the ritual to kill his father, Malaak'a.  

This log covers all social things for Failboat between the first social log and the Darkhouse (months worth of time skip).

She's Alainn. [ Lifting her shoulder in a shrug. ] She's one of those people it's impossible not to like.

[ And somehow Rose had managed not to turn her off with her ridiculous life and less than warm personality. ]

[ the smile he gives in response to that is a little thin, as if there's something in those words that has some level of irony or something ] ... She grows on you.

[ She catches something (though what I'll let the die decide), Rose's head cocking to one side, eyes narrowing as she tries to get a read on that response: Rose wanting to be sure that he's not the one that has a difficult time liking Alainn. (Sense Motive 39). ]

[ while she gets the feeling that he does like her (now), it might have been hard won on his end, for... some reason. ] I'm just glad she's doing alright for herself, with things as they are.

[ The fact that he likes her now is enough for Rose not to push.

Well. Not to push him anyway. (Read: She was gonna be asking Alainn what the deal was there.) ]

Alright is pretty relative these days... but Alainn? She's loyal and she's good. There's not a lot of people in this world I would do literally anything for but she's one of the rare few.

[ I mean... so maybe it was mostly not pushing? I swear she wasn't going to and then I kept writing the tag. IDEK what you expect from Rose? At least she doesn't deliver it with the edge of a threat so. There's that? ]

I think she's found her people, in that. Not that we weren't. [ he adds quickly ] But...

I think she needed more.

I know. [ Not that she was taking his word for it. ] I hear how she talks about home.

[ But she can't say she disagrees with him on needing more. Not when she's seen Alainn in action. ]

She makes a difference. A lot of people think that's why we're doing what we do, but you don't really see it I guess. [ Not unlike herself. ] But Alainn? She makes a real difference to everyone around her.

I know I shouldn't, but now I wanna now how it is she's been talking about home, exactly...
