Rescuing Rafael could have gone much worse... And then did, when Rafael, desperate to feel alive and free again, got himself into a car accident. He came out of it alright, but injured, and they headed back on a plane after a whirlwind wedding had happened the same night between Dean and Rose, which Elena and the fiendish version of Sam had dropped in on - as well as Bobby Singer. After the madness of that night, Jack sent word back to them that if they had any family that they wished to keep safe, they could bring them back to Krozna. Rafael and Isabella insisted on picking up Giorgio, Nellethiel, and their children, Giulia and Pietro. Alainn picked up quite a bit of family as well - her adoptive parents and siblings from Ireland.   They return to Krozna together, where everyone can get acquainted and recover from the ordeal of their close calls in New Orleans before pressing forward.   There would be months for them to train, and the pace of life in Krozna to settle in, far from the chaos of the rest of the world.

The date is now quickly approaching for the upcoming meeting at the "Darkhouse" where they hope to acquire more leads about the dagger that was used by Blade in the ritual to kill his father, Malaak'a.

This log covers all social things for Failboat between the first social log and the Darkhouse (months worth of time skip).

What were you going to do if the news had been different?

No idea.

[The way she says it has a bit of a laugh to it, almost as though she might be able to form a plan that would actually be somewhat ethical.]

My first thought was ... I'd have to find a way to help her move on. Stop being trapped here with me and go ... to wherever anyone goes after this. Heaven, Hell, I don't know anymore. I was never particularly religious in the first place, but apparently these are things I need to consider now.

[She then swallows as she leans back against the couch.]

But then I actually think about it for more than two minutes and it's like ... I'm the one hijacking her body. I'm the intruder, not her. What kind of asshole am I that I'm thinking about evicting someone from their own body just so I can stick around a little while longer. Problem is, I'm not exactly ready to die either so ...

[She shrugs.]

No idea. No clue how I'd go about resolving this, so ... I'm mostly just glad I don't have to think about it anymore.

I don't blame you one bit. [ her tone is quiet, and it clearly applies to both her assessment of the situation, and her feelings of relief now ]

It's instinctual, wanting to survive. It's not something that people can easily override.

[She nods because that much is the truth.]

Doubly so when it's already happened to you once. I know it's something that happens to everyone, but it really sucks.
