The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope none of you are shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc!  This goes for... any time.

[He shoots back, wiggling his eyebrows at her.]

I mean, I had so much fun last time... [She cannot get over this cute guy who keeps being flirty and wanting to dance and just... into her. It's not a thing that's happened to her much in the past.] Yeah. Want to dance?

[bluffcheck]

[He chuckles to himself before sliding his hand into hers and tugging her gently to the dance floor. His other hand finds it's way to rest at the base of her spine- holding her a tad closer than the last time they had a jaunt around the floor.]

You're something else, Andie. I'd dance with ya anytime.

Something good though, right? [Oh, she is not complaining. THIS IS NICE.] Because I totally wouldn't mind making this a thing. Like, an always dancing together at the squire parties thing. It's... nice.

[bluffcheck]

Something very good. [He agrees as they move with the music.] So long as you're here and I'm here, there will be dancing. You can count on that.

[Which is as much of a commitment as he'll make to...anything. But it's something!]

Yeah, like the weird guy with the mask. [The other two at least look normal, though Scout sure isn't from around here. She hasn't talked to Faye. YET.]

Him especially. You have a chance to chat him up?

[She shakes her head.] He seems kinda... ookie. I mean, I don't want to judge on appearances, but... ookie.

[bluffcheck]

[Thoster chuckles] Can't judge a man so fast. Think of all the fun you'd miss if you had written me off like that.

[She giggles.] You don't wear a creepy mask.

Maybe I'll ask him to let me borrow his. Just to prove my point.

Thoster. [She sounds almost exasperated now.] Look, it's not like I'd be mean to him or anything. If he comes over, I'll talk to him. But it's not like I've gotta make friends with everyone, right?

[bluffcheck]

[He likes the way she says his name- even when she's getting fed up with him.]

Fair enough, lass. Might not be too keen on sharing you with other men anyway. Maybe I'll put all of them in masks so I can keep you all to myself on the dance floor.

[That gets the standard blush and a giggle.] I wouldn't mind that.
