Just as before, accessing the secret room where the Round Table is housed requires using the Knight's access card to open the glass class beside the mural of the War in Heaven, located across from the ballroom entrance. Using the fire extinguisher as a lever to activate the "door" mechanism reveals the long torch-lit hall plastered in artworks depicting the Knight's history. The tenants of the Knighthood hang large and foreboding over the doors at the end of the hall, which stand open to reveal the brightly lit Round Table, and the majestic crystalline dragon statue presiding over it.

Come in, find a seat, meet your teammates if you haven't already. Wynn will be with you all shortly.

[Nessa passing through her awareness in the Force is... interesting, a small active animal tossed onto a tautly stretched sheet. Scout withdraws her awareness closer around her and releases the meditative state, though her breathing stays even. She returns the gaze look for look, ignoring protocol, though with more wary curiosity.]

Sir? [This title on this world seems more often addressed to males, but since it's used for others here, she takes the chance.] Would you mind sharing the joke?

[Andie almost forgot in the long hours between getting the invite and going. It wasn't until shortly before six that she glanced at the message from the night before and remembered, dressing and rushing to the chamber in a hurry. Luckily, she's very fast, so she's not actually late at all, just wide-eyed and harried looking.]

Am I late? Did I miss it? [She glances at her watch.] Oh. No. Cool. Hi!

[Faye strolls in, checking her nails and not acknowledging anyone else in the room. Eventually, she looks up and makes a tck noise, though in regards to what? WHO KNOWS?

She finds an empty chair and sits, then continues to ignore everyone.]

[ Nessa watches the other two young girls enter, still smirking slightly as she answers Andie before Scout. ] You haven't missed a thing, darling. We're still short two men.

[ Glancing over at her squire, she speaks in Scout's direction finally. ] I was just interested to see Solace's squire for myself.

[Scout slowly laces her fingers together before her on the table. Her nails are speckled with white spots, signs of damage. She's sitting not too far back in her seat, which isn't drawn in very far, the better to stand quickly if she has to.]

I see. [Scout feels a half dozen questions and more elaborate responses start to form, but lets none of them become more than a vague desire not to leave it at two words.]

[She looks to the other two with a brief smile for the girl she met at the afterparty.] Hi, Andie. Faye.

I'M SORRY I AM SO LATE

[Riddick makes his way into the room at an unhurried pace, his eyes quickly surveying the members already seated at the table. Two of the women here he recognized, the other two must have been part of the new squiring ceremony that he hadn't attended.

Taking his cue from the fact that he was heavily outweighed by the estrogen in the room already, he eases his big frame into one of the chairs away from all the females. He preferred to keep his eyes on all the claws in the room for his own safety.

[ Solace strides in behind him, scanning them quickly as if to do a head count, before walking around to Wynn's customary position at the place before his chamber doors. ]

Wynnefalshond has already given me the particulars of our mission, and has business to attend to of his own.

I trust none have objections to this? [ It's a question that's not really a question, as it's obvious he's not expecting anyone to say no. ]

Uh... yeah?

[Who is surprised that she has a problem with this person of authority? Who?]

I'm pretty sure no one here elected Mr. Clean to the top of the food chain.

[That would be Sir Riddick. If Sir Solace hadn't come in so quickly behind him - and Scout has to wonder if she's supposed to stand and bow to her mentor, or move to be at his side or something, but ends up just nodding - Scout would have spent longer studying him. He's one of the two other people among the Knights who she knows had been in space.]

[Faye's protest makes her blink. In the Jedi temple respect for authority was ingrained into Scout; considering that her highest physical authority got into splattery fights with cafeteria droids, it might be an odd sort of respect, but it's real. She sounds startled.]

He's a division head. They rank everyone but the Claws and Wynn himself.

[Andie waves cheerfully at Riddick when he comes in, but her face sort of drops at all the arguing.]

Um, guys? Can we just get the mission details then argue about whether Sir Solace should be the boss or not? Some of us have trouble paying attention even when it's not boring and pointless.

[ Nessa actually looks mildly discomfited by her squire's behavior. ]

No objections, Solace. Go on.

[Riddick nods back at Andie, surprising himself by feeling a bit glad that he at least knew her somewhat better than the others. He was quickly distracted by the loud objection to Solace's not-so-much-a-question-statement.

This is why he sat over here.]

Well, this oughta be interesting [he mutters in his low, gravely voice, crossing his arms and leaning back in his chair.]

[Faye just rolls her eyes and sits back in her chair.]

Whatever.

[She's gonna be really fun to have around guys. Totally.]

[ He ignores her ass entirely, which says a lot about how significant he finds her. ]

Our destination is near Khajjiar, India, specifically, a remote temple located in the mountainous region, devoted to an Elven moon goddess.

According to our reports, two moon elves - sisters - have quarantined themselves inside the temple, to complete some sort of ritual that they believe will seal the rips in the Veil that cause incursions from the Shadow World. They've accumulated a rather large following, all of whom have set up camp outside the temple, in order to prevent anyone from entering to disrupt the ritual.

There have, of course, been some such attempts, and the crowds have gotten violent with those attempting to enter.

[Scout restrains herself to two questions for now. Later she'll ask him how Khajjiar is spelled so she can look it up.]

Do you know anything else about this... ritual? Has anyone ever been able to actually do anything to the Veil?

I've never been to India. It's supposed to be really pretty.

No one has ever so much as deduced how the rips in the Veil function, let alone successfully attempted to seal them.

So are we trying to help them or stop them?

And why do we care?

Our primary mission is to ensure that these fanatics aren't doing any further injuries to those who would try to stop the ritual.

And to investigate the nature of it. Not everything is always as it appears. Particularly where magic is concerned.

So we're like... cops at protests?

[burnsbright]

And where are these reports coming from? Do you have people there?

[ he shakes his head ] Televised reports, internet news sites and other media.

So... we really have no idea what we're getting ourselves into?

[She looks around at the group.]

Am I the only one who sees the glaring problem here?

[Riddick was keenly interested to go on a mission involving magic since he's not really had the opportunity to study it up close since he had arrived. The rapid-fire questions and answers were filed away neatly as he considered all the glorious possibilities of being in India and all the danger that could be found there. The last question does get a smirk out of him though.]

[In a word, scouting. She doesn't smile and she's already sitting up straight, but a bit of a light comes to her eyes and it's suddenly decidedly clearer that yes, she is a teenager.]

These particular... moon elves, do you know anything about them, other than they're related?

The sisters arrived together from the Shadow World, which is, in itself, quite unusual. They claim to be devotees of Sehanine Moonbow.

[Faye shoots Riddick a look.]

Not a clue who that Shannon Rainbow is, but it sounds like we're winging it anyway.

So when do we leave?

[Hmm, so the little kitty liked testing her claws. That just earns a rumbly chuckle out of him as he remains focused on Solace, more than eager to hear the remaining details of their mission.]

Who's Sehanine Moonbow? [Riddick hasn't taken the time to bone up on Shadow World history.]

An Elven goddess whose domain is death, mysteries, and dreams. It is believed by many that she presides over the deaths of all mortal creatures, not simply the Elvenkind. But her essence is surrounded by veils of illusion and secrecy, and so it is difficult in any way to define her.
