new orleans ♔ now that you've found another key | what are you going to play
WHO || Thomas, Gar, Kat, Dumage, Mark, Myri, Buffy, Finnick, Spike, Rafael, Des, Elena Gilbert, Burt, ??, ??, ?? [Closed]
WHAT || The Knights begin a three-prong recon mission to push forward their intelligence operations on NOVA Records
WHERE || NOVA Records HQ, New Orleans
WHEN || Monday, Oct 15th [Forward dated]
HOW || Actionspam, don't sweat tag order!!
[[ Towering above our heroes is the fifteen-story NOVA Record Headquarters, an L-shaped structure tipped with a winged roof, covered in reflective window linings that paint a portrait of the New Orleans skyline across its panels. Foot traffic streams in and out, a parade of Bluetooth wearing suits, women in nine-inch heels, and extravagantly dressed stars surrounded by guards and entourage members.
But the lavish exterior hides a dark secret or two, and the Knights have sworn to shine a light on all of them.
Why is a record company funding a church that supports Shadowkind slavery? What are the 'experiments' for which they're buying up Shadowkind DNA, and how does it relate to the mysterious behavioral-control chip found in the displacer beast released in the museum? And, of course, what do they want with Jade, and what do they know about the Lazarus Talisman's current location?
Answers are rarely straightforward on their journey, and it looks like another complication or two are on the way.... ]

[Myri has the benefit of her gift making her aware that the girl truly was in danger. But she can't exactly divulge that information.]
Do you... do you remember anything? About you how you ended up in the water?
no subject
I...I'm not sure. I think I was in my friend's truck, and we swerved and...drove off the road and into the water.
[At each pause she seems to be concentrating, her eyes narrowing as if it hurts her head to think.]
I'm trying to picture it, but it's almost as if it's slipping away, like when you wake up from a bad dream.

But there's no car... And no road...
[She doesn't want to poke giant holes in the girl's story, so she's just going to gently point out the inconsistencies to see if it changes the tune at all.]

[She isn't that clumsy, and she hasn't been drinking.]
no subject
This may seem like an odd question... [Because all of this has seemed so normal???] But where were you before? Was it anywhere near New Orleans?
[She knows Finnick mentioned where they were, but it wasn't made clear exactly how familiar it was.]
no subject
Mystic Falls, in Virginia. It's where I'm from.
[It's one of the few facts she truly remembers.]
So, no, that's not near New Orleans. I don't think I've ever actually been here before, though I guess I can't really be sure.
no subject
And now you're here. And you don't remember much? [Okay, see this just all sounds too familiar. Myri presses her lips together while she thinks. She's overly paranoid about being found out (courtesy of her life on the run in her own world), so she keeps it simple, just in case someone is listening.]
All you need to know is that Finnick is a musician. A famous one. [She talks while she grabs something for Elena to wear.]. You can get changed over there. [She points to a secluded corner of the room with some dividers up.]
no subject
I remember my name, my birthday, my family and some friends. I can picture their faces, and I know their names, but...
[She seems to try to focus, then frowns deeper.]
It's like there's a giant hole there.
[She listens and nods, hoping that she'll get more information later. She takes the clothes from her and starts to move toward the dividers.]
I'll be quick.
no subject
She walks towards the changing area and hold out a hand, the folded piece of paper mostly obscured.]
Unfortunately, this is a closed shoot. I'll cover the cost of the clothes, but I'm going to have to ask you to leave.
[In case someone is watching or listening, she tries to come off less sweet. Quick as she can, Myri ushers the girl back out of the room and towards the nearest exit.
Whenever she has the chance to read the message on the paper, it reads as follows:]
I'll explain what I can but not here.
[An address for a coffee shop near their hotel follows, with a time to meet: 9pm]

When she's finally outside, she walks around the block before she unclenches her fingers and unfolds the note.
It looks like she'll need to find a way to waste some time.]
