[It's been months. It feels like years in some ways, only days in most others. She's not sure if she's ready to be back, but she has nowhere else to go. No family to return home to. Just this castle, and her mentor within.
Christos.
She wonders if he still remembers her, then realizes that's foolish. He'll remember her, it's just the question if whether or not he'll be ashamed of her that remains.
There's others inside that she's apprehensive yet excited to see again. Finnick. Francesca. Riddick.
She wonders if they're all still around.
After being released from the center where she received treatment for her traumatic memories, she's escorted back to the castle and inside. She can't bring herself to go into her old room, despite the urging that it will be good for her to do so. She's not ready yet. Not sure if she's ready to go back to this.
So she lingers out in the main hallway instead, feeling safer where she's not expected to stare down the bed where so many horrible dreams haunted her on a nightly basis. She eventually finds a nice wall to slide down and sit, her legs curled in close to her chest. She eventually realizes it's well after dark. Has she slept? She's not sure, all she knows is it's not hurting anything to stay just where she is.
She realizes now that she's back here, that she's quite lonely. She's just not sure how to go about sucking up her pride enough to go crawling back into everyone's life to get the human contact she so desperately needs to feel like she belongs here. Maybe she doesn't though. Not really.
With that thought in mind she pushes herself to stand on her feet and looks around, ready to bolt and run away.]

I've been gone so long that I wouldn't have been surprised if you were working with someone else, someplace other than here.

Then thank you for taking time out of keeping up with your usual habits to welcome me back. [She glances down at the ground then, and she has to force out her next words.]
Do I still have a place here? I need to know.

No one's touched your things. Your room is still your own. [ it's clear that it's not what she meant, but that he's responding to her question even while pretending to take it more literally ]

And my weapons? [She's a little apprehensive about the fact they may or may not let a crazy girl near anything that can kill people.]
They must count as a part of my things.

... not that kind of alone time. The kind where she shoots shit and lovingly strokes the bow.]
Good. That's - [She lets out a sigh.] Good. I'm sorry that I had to leave. I promise to try harder this time.

What memories I had were mine to keep, even if they were harmful. But it had to be done, didn't it? [Otherwise she's convinced herself she'd just be locked away forever.]

Magic comes and goes in this world, with erratic impulse. I have a feeling Sir Ellison would have neglected to explain that initially, hoping to wait until you'd 'settled in' to a bit more. You should know, however, what that means.
If magic disappeared tomorrow, the blocks would be undone. It would behoove you to train your mind to deal with anguish before then. It's possible.
