[Elena arrives at the coffee shop earlier than scheduled. She hasn't had much to do while she waits on her, hopefully, new friends, given that she's in the middle of a city she doesn't know with little more than her wallet and a cell phone that isn't getting any service, and no memory of her life other than vague people and places.

Needless to say, it's been a frustrating few hours, and the wait has been somewhat agonizing for her.

Fortunately, coffee is among the topics that she seemingly knows, and she happens to have some cash, so she's resorted to sitting the shop for the last hour. She's currently nursing her second large cup, which has grown cold in her hands. Hopefully they won't be too much longer...]

[Myri just smiles.]

We couldn't really ask you about it with everyone else there. It wasn't safe.

Well, can you explain it now then? Where do you guys even come from? And why were you at that shoot?

[She raises a brow.]

It wasn't just for a music video, or you wouldn't have had a 'cover' in the first place. Especially when there were obviously more people involved.

[After all, Myri had brought quite a crowd, and she didn't see any of them mingling where she'd been.]

It's sorta classified. [ she screws up her face, examining elena carefully ] Can we swear you to secrecy?

It's all very James Bond. Except without enough martinis. [Spike is always helpful.]

[She has to try to keep from smiling at the pairs comments before she looks back over at Kat.]

Of course. I'll swear on whatever you want. I'll even pinky swear if you want.

[Okay, that's kind of a joke.]

Besides, I don't know anyone. Who would I tell?

Girl makes a point.

We're Knights of the Silver Dragon. This whole world's full of people like you, people from other worlds who don't remember a dang thing about themselves. But there's other stuff that's come from those worlds too. Monsters, bad guys, that sort of thing.

We basically field both sides of the fence.

[finnick has had a long hard day, so it's not 100 percent surprising that he ... fell asleep at the table. it should have been telling when he didn't react to buffy's jab about getting his attention, ok. but because of his sunglasses, the only indicator of him sleeping was his head slooooowly tipping forward until he snapped out of it and jerked up abruptly like someone who fell asleep in class and knows they probably just missed something important.

yep gonna cover for that by slouching down into his chair and hoping no one noticed.]

[Myri only notices Finnick slouch down, which draws a curious frown from her, but she just moves along with explaining things to Elena. She nods to Kat]

Yes, we were sent here to complete a task. It's quite a long story, actually... You just happened to arrive right in front of us.

Which is lucky, because otherwise, NOVA might have just eaten you alive. [ beat. ] That was ... probably too honest, wasn't it?

[(Spot: 20) Elena notices Finnick's little nap, but she doesn't say anything, instead of grinning to herself.]

It must have been a busy and stressful ordeal.

[She glances as Kat, nodding slowly.]

I guess I should probably be more surprised, but considering the fact that I know I don't just have a simple case of amnesia...

[Buffy's comment catches her attnetion, too.]

They're a company we've been looking into. They deal in music... among other things.

[The concept of corporations is still one she's wrapping her mind around, but she at least understands that NOVA is a big one and most likely a bad one.]

Shady, evil type things, apparently.

[She's trying really hard to stay serious, okay?]

[Myri would laugh, but she's mostly confused by the jokes.]

The most important thing to know is that there are people who aren't fond of those of us who come here as you did. They don't think we belong here, even though we didn't really have much of a choice.

[She's got this weird protective feeling about this girl. Maybe it's because this is the first person she's actually seen fall into this world since her own arrival.]

You're welcome to go. You could go anywhere, be anything you wanted. But if you'd like, you could stay with us. [It's only then that she realizes that she's sort of... making decisions that she's not sure if she has the right to. She looks up to Kat and Gar.] Couldn't she?

So it's a racism thing. Sort of. I guess 'outsiders' would be a better word?

[She's not sure exactly about what her old life was like, but the idea of going out on her own, doing whatever she wants...it's tempting, and yet the exact opposite of what she wants all at the same time.

Because even though she barely knows these people, she feels drawn to them at the same time. Especially Myri, who seemed to care about her immediately.]

I would like that. [She glances around.] If that's okay, of course.

[Because Elena doesn't want to be alone, and she likes these people.]

Outsiders is candycoating it. It really is as ugly as racism, and in the case of people who aren't human: elves and stuff, it really is racism. Even the ones born in this world get shit on.

[ i enjoy how you assume gar is here b/c her and kat are attached at the hip.... ;) kat looks at myri and shrugs ] You have as much right to invite her as I do. We're both full Knights, after all. And even if we weren't, if she's interested in doing what we do, or finding a place with us, she's welcome to.

She's in the same boat you guys were in, after all, when someone gave you that choice.

You don't have to be a knight like we are. We can help you find work somewhere else, get you acclimated. At the castle, or somewhere else. Really, it's up to you.

[She nods to Kat, still getting used to the idea of being a Knight and having that sort of authority.

Turning back to Elena, she smiles again.] The most important thing is that you know that you don't have to figure it out alone. But Buffy's right- we'll help you with whatever you decide to do.

[She clasps her hands together in her lap, taking into account everything they've said. There's one thing she knows for sure, and if that's the only decision she has to make right now, then it's an easy one.]

I'd like to go with you, help you all if I can. I can make any for sure decisions later, right?

Definitely no rush. But personally, I don't know how anybody could check out our action packed lifestyle and turn it down.
