The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

[Hook has not been enjoying himself as much as he might. He'd probably enjoy himself more, for instance, if a certain Emma Swan was not bloody impossible. But he'd been having an all right time besides all that. He gives his knight a lazy smirk.]

[He remembers them fondly... There were less modern amenities, but things were certainly a bit more exciting.]

No one's been brutally injured at all this evening, it's true. [Unless you count Hook's pride.]

[His gaze overtly follows that of a bubbly brunette, never keeping still. After a moment of leering, he remembers himself and pulls his attention back to Hook.]

Certainly pleasing to the eye. [He follows Thoster's gaze, though he's thinking of a certain blonde who rejected him instead, then glances over at him.] Who's the girl?

[He gives the man a knowing look.] Quite the lass, isn't she? Her name's Andie, but don't go getting any ideas, friend.

Is she yours? Or do you just wish she was? [Don't worry, Thoster, Hook won't be that interested in her for reasons.]

Better for them to do the wishing. [But he can't even hide his fondness.] She's quite the dancer. Light on her feet.

I saw you had a little go with the blonde at the ceremony.

Ah, yes, the Swan girl. [He can't hide his fondness either.] A fiesty lass. Packs quite a wallop when she wants to.

[They both suck at bluffing right now. Ugh. Stupid girls.]

The best ones do.

Yours too? [He glances back at Andie.] Seems a bit small to do much hitting.

Different sort of wallop. Trust me, if you can keep your eye on her in the middle of a fight, you're a better man than I.

[He takes a long drink] But enough talk of women. There will be plenty more dames and days to speak of. I want to hear about this ship of yours.

The Jolly Roger? Ah, she's a beauty. Made of enchanted wood, you know. Gotten me into and out of more scraps than I can count.

Enchanted, hm? All sorts of enchantments out there. What sort does your little darling hold?

She's designed to traverse worlds. It certainly is quite the enchantment.

I'd say my ship has that sort of enchantment then, as well- seeing as she made it here.

Bragging rights? Not very confident in your ship if those are the highest stakes you'll raise.

I wouldn't want you to lose your shirt so soon after joining up! Set the price, friend. I'll meet any wager.

[Hook considers it. With his ship wrecked, his shirt's about the only thing he possesses. He's not betting his ship or his jewelry, which makes pride about the only thing he has to lose.

Well. There's one other thing he supposes he could use or lose.]
