wynn waits patiently for a moment until she seems to get over the initial shock, before nodding politely. ]

Sir de Tanos. I wondered if we might have a word.

[Oooh ahhh also Amaranth is offended by those pug pillows.]

Of course. Do come in.

[She steps back to allow him to enter her room, seeming to handle his presence much better than the last time she spoke to him. Hooray for growth!]

I trust nothing is wrong?

[wynn]

[ he'll come right on in. and stand in the middle of the room, not seeming interested in sitting down ] On the contrary. I've heard impressive tidings of your work on this mission.

[witchwoman]

Have you? [She closes the door, assuming that privacy might be needed]

Sir Kat is known to boast, but my part was small, comparatively. I'm just glad to see we've found a few clues to untangling this knot around the Talisman.

[wynn]

It was bound to not be an easy path from the start. [ he sure doesn't sound surprised at least, and gives her a strange ~knowing look~ as if she knows what he's on about. and then moves on. ] I actually came here to ask you about something else.

Elena Gilbert. What do you think of her?

[witchwoman]

[She glances down at his look, not wanting to give away anything or risk saying something she shouldn't. Thankfully, the topic changes. She raises her gaze again, smiling slightly.]

She's wonderful. And very smart. She was quite helpful in some of the mission objectives in New Orleans. I'm sure she'd be a good fit here.

[wynn]

That was what I was hoping to hear.

I was also hoping you would agree to take her on as your first squire.

[witchwoman]

[Myri's smile freezes, then drops into a small "O" of confusion and surprise.]

I'm sorry? I think I misheard you...

[wynn]

I don't believe you did.

[witchwoman]

You mean to say... That is, you wish for me to do for her as Sir Kat did for me?

[wynn]

[ merely a small nod ]

[witchwoman]

[She doesn't know if she's ready for such a thing, but Wynn apparently does and she trusts his judgement on such things. Still, she hesitates until she feels Amaranth bump against her leg. She looks down at her familiar and smiles, understanding his silent nudge.]

I would love nothing more.

[wynn]

I'm very pleased to hear it. [ there's that strange tiny small of his again. ] You're comfortable in your understanding of the responsibilities of the position?

[witchwoman]

In a sense. That is... I have seen a few Knights with their Squires.

[A pause]

Truthfully? No. I'm not certain of what the job entails.

[wynn]

Your primary concerns are two-fold: to serve as a guide to the protocol of our organization, explaining to them how to receive training, equipment, briefing policies, our sections, or anything else they do not understand, as well as evaluating whether you believe they could have a place here, and which section you think their abilities would best benefit.

[witchwoman]

[She listens carefully, nodding along.]

I believe I could do that.

[She knows that wouldn't be the end of it between her and Elena. They were already fast friends.]

May I ask... How can you be certain that I'm ready for such a task?

[wynn]

Because you have forged a notable relationship with your own mentor Knight, and no doubt received an above-average degree of tutelage.

[witchwoman]

Sir Kat did very well. [She agrees.] Any Squire would be lucky to have her.

[But would they be so lucky to have her? She hopes so. Elena already means a great deal to her.]

Might I ask a favor? Could I tell Elena myself?

[wynn]

You may. [ EXCEPT I ACCIDENTALLY HAD WYNN DO IT in the other log but if you and ashley want, we can just say that part didn't happen b/c it was like all of two lines in the conversation ]

[witchwoman]

[IT'S COOL. Ashley and I chatted it out and she's cool with retconning it for the sake of cuteness.]
