[He smirks and takes another bite of pizza, chewing and swallowing before he starts again.]

Tink's not so bad most of the time. The other pixies, though... [He trails off, shaking his head.] They're not like the Enchanted Forest fairies.

What, so they're smaller or something? A good fairy's a good fairy, no matter what they call themselves. I've read the story. Pixie dust, flying, something about sailing a ship over London.

[He gives her an indulgent smile because that's about as cute as her version of the story of Jack and the beanstalk.]

They're not good fairies. They didn't like the Blue Fairy's rules. It's why they fled the realm.

To Neverland. Where they ... what, exactly? What's so bad about them?

[unhand]

Not bad either, really. More... wild. Ever heard the saying "All magic comes with a price?"

[uncurse]

Too often.

They haven't.

Then, I guess it's a good thing we're not in Neverland.

[He shrugs.]

They're not all bad. But that much magic.... it's why the land is the way it is.

And by the way it is you mean ... bright, glittering, gorgeous, and allowing of human flight? Gee. Don't sound so grim about it.

[He gives her a slight smile.]

That's the magic part. The price is what's underneath all that glitter. [He eyes her thoughtfully, frowning.] You'd see what's really there, I'd wager. You're not much of a believer. That can be dangerous in Neverland.

What the hell's that mean? Dangerous how?

[unhand]

There's so much magic there, slightest bit of disbelief and be disastrous. Weakens the fabric of the world, you know.

Yeah, well, lucky for that world, it's hard to disbelieve what's right in front of your face. Can't imagine how someone would wind up in Neverland without knowing about magic. Even if they did, once you got there ... sounds like it'd be hard to ignore.

[unhand]

Knowing's different from believing, lass. You've never doubted your own eyes?

[uncurse]

[ ... (unsure) you mean like august's leg turning to wood? yeah she's not going to admit that. she's too stubborn. ]

Suppose you'd do well in Neverland, then.

... [ curiosity killed the swan. ] What'd go wrong if I had? I mean, for someone who had a habit of doubting what they were seeing?

[unhand]

If you doubted? [He shakes his head.] Wouldn't hold up. Things'd rot around you, fall apart, die.

And, of course, every single creature living there would want to kill you. They don't like disbelief in Neverland.

That's ... not as family-friendly as I remember.
