So what are your thoughts on the whole Veil thing? Tired of us, yet?

Rather the opposite! Studying the Veil is something of my life's work. And the more subjects who come through, the more there is to learn.

I guess that's good for me. How much do you know about people from the same place coming through with different memories?

[He's really unsure about this daughter thing, okay...]

Different? How so?

Two different people who say they know you from before coming here, but the things they tell you are... significantly different.

Gold and Emma both claim that we come from the same place. But they seem to remember two different men.

[rationalizes]

I hate to even posit this, but... are you sure you can trust both of them?

[uncease]

No. [The answer comes without hesitation.] What do you know about Sir Gold?

[rationalizes]

Very little, I'm afraid. Although he does frequent the library often. He has some special affinities for... for maps, I believe.

[uncease]

[He nods, debating what to say.] His... version of my life... It's not the same as Emma's. And not in a god way.

[He basically informed the man that he'd entered into a torrid affair. NOT COOL GOLD.]

Do you think he'd have anything to gain from lying about it?

Not really. But something about the guy just makes me think he'd do it just for the hell of it.

I could be way off. It's just... Hard to figure out who I am when I'm being told two different things.

Well... perhaps you should see it as... an opportunity. To choose to believe the best possible reports of yourself!

Yeah, but the best possible is a little hard to believe.

Emma says that I'm her father. And a prince.

Prince Charming, to be exact. Looking for Snow White.

[I can only assume if this world has Passions, then they also have classic fairy tales...]

The actual Prince Charming? The one from Grimm's fairy tales?

The one and only- if she's right, at least.

Sounds crazy, right?

Before King Arthur showed up here last year, I might have agreed.

[And with a whopping Int check of 6 to see if Charming has learned/retained information about good ol' Artie, we're going to go with... no...]

Arthur was something of an exception. I think you're the only other prince I've ever heard of enlisting with the Knights. It's all very exciting.
