[This log is for any in-flight interactions on the Knight's private plane ride to the mission site. Please do not disturb the pilot 8| Feel free to make your own threads, etc. The flight time is approx eighthours.

There will also be a thread for arriving at the hotel and settling in. ]

Then I'm afraid I'll have to let you know that he couldn't make it.

[Amusement glitters in his eyes as he has a seat.]

Hopefully I can at least partially make up for his absence.

[A grin still playing on her lips, Rose angles her body towards his.]

Well... I suppose you'll have to do.

[Leg brushing against his as he settled, wanting to greet him properly but trying to be at least mildly discreet.]

I prefer brunettes anyway.

[He finds himself leaning toward her instinctively as well, so that their shoulders are nearly touching. There's a quiet smile threatening to break across his lips.]

So I should stay away from the bleach, hm?

[They might be trying for discreet but their body language was anything but, Rose's hand brushing against his as her head lolled to the side, that smile of contentment back in place now that he was here.]

Definitely. Unless you're looking to make me laugh but I think there's better ways to do that.

[Hesitant brushes are the best he's going to give, though. As much as he'd love to lean over and kiss those lips, Dimitri isn't a PDA kind of guy.]

[But they were certainly far enough away from others that he could say things in a hushed voice and no one would hear.]

I'm sure there are at least a few ticklish spots I could attempt to find. Much better than bleach.

[Rose's smile pulled wide, crinkling the corners of her eyes her teeth grazing her lower lip to show exactly where her head went as she leaned a little closer to Dimitri.]

You're an evil man Dimitri Belikov. [Almost pouting.] Good thing you're hot enough for me to overlook it. [Giving his leg a quick squeeze before she settled back in her seat.]

Ya know half the appeal of becoming a Knight was getting to go to new places... and instead we're going to the only place I remember being in.

I'm not evil. I'm simply honest.

[Which means he fully intends to look for those ticklish spots at a later point in time. When she's not expecting it. As for being hot, his opens his mouth slightly in surprise before he chuckles quietly, shaking his head as if he doesn't believe her.]

[He settles as well as they change topics, briefly glancing out of the window.]

I'm sure they chose you for this mission because of your knowledge of the city and some of it's dangers. [His eyes move back to hers.] I'm simply surprised they let me come with you.

See that's why you're evil. You say things that make me want to kiss you in front of a plane full of people who don't know about us.

[Rose's voice pitched low, convincing nobody on this plane that nothing was going on between them with the way she smiled at him now.]

Why wouldn't they? We're the same. We'll work well together. I'd have been pretty annoyed if they hadn't put us on the same mission. [Though Rose's reasoning for that was definitely selfish.]

Frankly, I think you're the evil one for doing the things you do to me.

[And that's exactly his point. Anyone with eyes could see that there was something here.]

Because as discreet as we may believe we're being, I don't for a second think that our superiors don't know that there's something deeper between us. And that could potentially compromise the mission.

[If he had to choose her or it, he would choose her every time.]

[That only made her smile widen but she relaxed again in her chair, trying to appear less obvious even if she was no doubt failing epically. She didn't care who knew about them but Dimitri seemed to be a little more... concerned about being discreet.]

You mean cause I just pretty much live in your room?

[Still joking around, though she grew a little more serious when he went onto explain his thinking.]

But that would never happen. We're Guardians We know how to prioritize.

[Only, that wasn't entirely true because like Dimitri, if it was a choice between him and the mission? Well it wasn't even a choice.]

Yes, that's one reason.

[He looks amused, though, and frankly he wouldn't have it any other way. Each minute that they were apart seemed like a minute wasted to him.]

We do, I know. And as much as logically I would like to think I'd do that in the heat of the moment, I'm not sure that instinctively, my body would react that way.

[If someone pointed a gun at her instead of the person they were supposed to protect, for instance? Making that choice wouldn't be so easy.]

[She'd never really stopped to think about it until now, just assumed they would do their duty and that would be that but in all honesty? It suddenly hit Rose what he meant.]

But... I mean that's part of being a Knight isn't it? We protect each other as well. It's not the same as being a Guardian.

[Or at least, she didn't want it to be the same as being a Guardian because if she was put in the same position, having to choose between Dimitri and the mission? There was no choice.]

[Dimitri looked thoughtful, his tongue briefly wetting his lips before he nodded and spoke again.]

Yes, I suppose you're right.

[He was sure that some missions carried different weights, though. But they weren't anyone's bodyguards. They were in this together.]

And there's no one else I'd rather have protecting my back.

[Rose felt a rush of warmth go through her, like he'd bestowed some great honor on her by saying that he would want her watching his back, her smile widening as her hand moved to capture his, giving it a squeeze.]

Exactly. [Smile turning to a slight smirk.] They also probably figured that if anyone could stop me from breaking more noses, it would be you.

[She really was being far too flippant about that incident.]

[He squeezes her hand back with a quiet smile, though he releases it a moment later. Must be discreet. :|]

Someday you'll learn to control yourself in those cases.

[Though he looks somewhat amused by it, regardless. After all, it was self-defense, from what he understands.]

[Rose's eyebrows shot up, a hint of a grin playing across her lips.]

And why would I want to do that, exactly? [Chuckling. Come on now, if she'd had her time again, she'd have done it exactly the same way.]

I have plenty of self control... and it's not like I didn't warn her.

Because in the heat of a mission, you might have to rely on any one of these people.

[And breaking noses does not exactly build towards reliance.]

I agree, she was at fault. Hopefully she has learned her lesson.

Yeah right. I can kick her a hell of a lot further than I can trust her. [Which might not be saying much, Rose had a pretty mean kick.]

And if she hasn't - I'd be more than happy to continue my instruction.

[Offering Dimitri a winning grin as she nudged him with her leg.]

It might be better to leave that to her superiors, if only to avoid getting into any trouble.

[It's not either of their jobs to punish her. Or teach her, for that matter.]

[Her brow furrowed, more amused than she was legitimately annoyed however.]

You sound like a teacher. Save your zen master wisdom for somebody else, comrade.

[A teasing tone to her voice as her lips curved into a small grin.]

I found it very therapeutic. [And by that she meant satisfying. Very, very satisfying.]

Who know? Maybe that's what I was. [He smiles as if he's making a joke.] Perhaps you were my student.

[Still, he shook his head.]

So is staking a mannequin. I'd recommend that, next time.

Oh I bet you were teaching me something alright. [Innuendo overkill.]

You know technically it's your fault. If you'd kept dancing with me then none of that would have happened. [Teasing him for the most part.]

[He shook his finger at her.]

Now, now, you aren't allowed to blame me for this. I highly doubt you didn't at least slightly aggravate the situation.

All I did was defend myself. [Read; Insulted her.] She started it on all counts. [A beat.] I just finished it.
