Just as before, accessing the secret room where the Round Table is housed requires using the Knight's keycard to open the glass case beside the mural of the War in Heaven, located across from the ballroom entrance. Using the fire extinguisher as a lever to activate the "door" mechanism reveals the long torch-lit hall plastered in artwork depicting the Knight's history. The tenants of the Knighthood hang large and foreboding over the doors at the end of the hall, which stand open to reveal the brightly lit Round Table, and the majestic crystalline dragon statue presiding over it.

Come in, find a seat, meet your teammates if you haven't already. Risa is already there, and sitting on the left hand side of the table. There's no sign of Wynn yet.

[ she looks nothing but amused by emma's commentary, and far from offended, offering a flashy smile in hook's direction before she shrugs and says: ] I don't see why we should limit ourselves to just one or the other.

But for now, maybe business first. I'll pull all the rabbits out of all the hats you want later.

Sir Zatanna Zatara here is a member of our order: albeit not a full-time one. She has her own responsibilities that keep her from the level of commitment that those of you have made, but that does not make her any less a part of the Knights.

She's come to us with a personal request, that I believe it would be wise to lend her aid with.

[uncurse]

Just as long as no one's getting sawed in half. So, what's the job?

[cigam]

[ she looks at wynn as if for confirmation to continue, and when he nods: ]

Finding my mother.

[generaldavideus]

[Hey. David wasn't being leery for the record. But that's not the point. He does listen carefully, trying to figure out how her mother connects to things.]

[Gold straightens up a bit, because all he can think of are maps and that nagging sensation he ought to be looking for something, but sudden overidentification, especially when the identification comes from something he can't rationalize does not stop him from being an asshole.]

As touching as that is, dear, I wasn't aware tender family reunions fell under our jurisdiction.

[uncurse]

[ emma holds a hand out as if she's somehow the boss of gold to shut him up. ]

Let her explain.

[ she has has a soft spot for cripples, bastards and broken things, ok. or just ... family reunions. probably just that one. ]

[Hook gives Emma a look that says he KNOWS HER SOUL right there, then glances back at Zatanna.] What happened to her?

[cigam]

For most of my life? I believed she died in a car accident when I was one. I didn't have any reason to doubt what my father had told me.

[ she takes a deep breath, eyes flicking up towards wynn, and then over the others. ] Until now.

She's been... calling to me. Urgently, magically, trying to get a message across. I know that it's her, and I know...

She's in danger.

[uncease]

What can we do?

[Oh look- someone woke up from his staring at her leggy frame long enough to get the gist of what is going on. He's not questioning if they can help, but asking for guidance to get the job done- because they have to. There isn't an option in his mind that involves not helping this young woman. It's strange how the familial aspect rings deep within him. His gaze darts immediately to Emma.

Okay, so it's not really similar, but it's a parent/child thing and he is having some feelings. His tone is sincere, concerned, compassionate. ]

[ finding people.

the one thing emma's good at. she gives a nod. ]

We should start with anything you know about where she's actually been the past twenty-some years, and anything your, uh, magic message might tell us about where she is now.

[generaldavideus]

Or a better question, what kind of message? Was it just a feeling or was it more of a ... vision?

[... he doesn't know why he knows that this is a thing to ask, he just does.]

[cigam]

It was a voice... and a feeling, yes. A familiarity that told me it was her. That this wasn't a trick. [ she turns to emma, lips pursing for a second before she nods ] And I was thinking of starting with someone who could tell us more about her and her past than I ever could.

[ a deep breath ]

My father.

I was hoping that if I brought some Knights with me, he would be more inclined to talk. He's kept the truth about what happened to her from me my whole life. I'm not sure how willing to spill he's going to be now. I'm hoping that the fact that we were only recently reunited will have him a bit more warmed up to the idea but... [ a glance at wynn ] You never know. And I don't want to take any chances.

[uncurse]

Most people don't need an armed entourage for a father-daughter talk. What kind of "chances" are you afraid of, exactly?

[unhand]

If there's magic involved, could be all sorts of problems. [If Hook had his memories, this would be accompanied by a pointed glare at Gold. Of course, it would also be accompanied by a pointed stabbing, so it's better for everyone that he's just vaguely annoyed by the concept with no reason for it.]

Luckily we're not short on that on our side, then. [because all he got out of that was "hey magic is a problem.' Further proving Hook has shit taste.]

[cigam]

My father is a very powerful man. I don't doubt that he loves me: in fact, the only reason we were separated for so long until now was because he was trying to keep me from getting hurt.

But I'm worried that that's how he'll see whatever this is as well. That he'll think I'm getting in over my head. I want to show him that I'm prepared to deal with the consequences. That I won't even be facing them alone.

[ a glance at hook ] And he's right. In my family... there's hardly any doubt that this involves some very powerful magic.

[uncease]

Are you sure you want to bring all of us for that? Coming in with a half dozen people flanking you might make the guy feel ganged up on.

[But it's her dad, so he's not going to doubt her judgment. He's just concerned to make sure that this happens as diplomatically as possible.]

[cigam]

That's sort of what I was going for, actually.

[generaldavideus]

Sometimes if you don't apply the pressure, they won't take the request seriously.

[he gets that. In more ways than one.]

So, when do we leave?

Within the next week or so. [ or two gdi 1:1 ratio you're killing me smalls ] We'll need to find out precisely where he's been keeping himself since his return.

That shouldn't be difficult. If he truly does care about her, then he won't be opposed to a family reunion, provided he isn't aware of the intent behind it.

[wynn]

That's our hope. He has, however, been... separated from many things held dear to him for a great number of years. It's likely he's involved in catching up on quite a few of his affairs at the moment.

Great. A hermit with magic. [ whose daughter feels the need to have strength behind her to threaten him into cooperation. yep. this'll go well. she sighs. ]
