It didn't take our Hoard member long to identify what was going on. A pack of thought drinkers had been drawn to the emotional frenzy of battle. They feed on intense emotion, and were latching onto soldiers, draining them slowly, and then shattering their psyches when they had finally taken all there was to take, leaving the victims as vegetables. The men were oblivious, because thought drinkers can turn invisible at will. They'd taken out nearly an entire garrison that way.
