[ really, if you didn't expect belle to be reading for most of the flight, i'd be very disappointed in you. ]

I like that one.

[ Meaning the book she's reading. He was a little hesitant to disturb since he himself can get rather prickly if someone tries to tear him away from his reading, but he deemed it a risk worth taking. ]

Hm? Oh! [ she looks up with a little grin ] It's quite good, so far.

You enjoy books?

That would be a bit of an understatement. I have a quite passionate affair with them. My wife used to say I'd leave her once I found the right book.

For her sake then, I hope you haven't found it yet. [ BELLE, HE USED PAST TENSE PAY ATTENTION :C ]

I find myself wondering, good sir, if you ever do anything but read with your spare time.

[ she looks up and registers who it is with a little smile ] Oh, I have some other hobbies, don't worry. But I blame traveling to an entirely new world. I have a whole new dimension's worth of books to read, and there are so many things about this place to learn...

[smugfox]

I reckon I just never found reading to be the best way to learn, myself. But different strokes.

[He crouches down so he's looking up at her instead of down, tilting his head to the side to read the book's title.]

Do share what your other hobbies are.

I'll admit I'm rather fond of the Knights' horses, as well. I take them out riding sometimes... visit them...

It may prove difficult to meet directly with the foreman of the site, so we might need to find a way to make him more amenable to speaking with us.

Do we know anything about this foreman's nature?

Not a whit. Perhaps we'll get lucky.

What would you consider lucky, in this scenario? I reckon we could make our own luck, if we learn more of him fast and use it right.

[Hey, hey, you know that game deer hunter? Where you, y'know, hunt deer? Did you also know there is a reverse deer hunter game where the deer shoot the humans? It's called Deer Avenger and it's awesome and Violet is currently slaughtering puny, littering humans who are ruining the environment with their carnivorous, wasteful ways on her phone.

Feel free to interrupt her fictional violence.]

[ i do know that game. belle, however, does not, and looks a little traumatized when she glances over innocently to see wat you are doin thar vi ] Well. That's, er, one way to get a point across.

Yeeeeah, it is a little blunt. Just a scosh.

How do you, er... win?

[He did not know. However, he knows about hunting, obviously, and so he starts watching her over her shoulder, eyes following what's happening on the screen.]

I'd rather eat deer than human.

[To be quite honest.]

I would rather eat neither. [She turns back slightly, smiles, and turns back to her game.] Luckily I don't mind the fictional slaughter of anything so...

Really? Deer is quite pleasant, especially fresh.

[He grins and leans over to keep watching the game as well.]

But fictional slaughter is nothing to lose sleep over either way, I guess. Even for a vegetarian.

[ Robin has kicked off his shoes and pulled his legs up under him in a way that looks a little bit silly where he's perched in his seat with a thick book. It will keep him busy for most of the flight unless someone feels like talking to him. ]

[smugfox]

[The pilot rolled really low on avoiding turbulence at inopportune moments, so there we go: turbulence!

Since, as stated, it is also an inopportune moment, it just so happens that Reynard ends up all sprawled over Robin. There are, to be honest, worse fates, but that was most definitely not planned and felt just a bit silly, all in all. He puts a hand on Robin's chest to push himself up, muttering an apology against the man's neck and then he was back off him again, this time keeping a firm hold of the nearest seat, just in case.]

Explains why there are seat belts.

[ Whoa there. Yeah, hello. Been a while since anyone muttered anything against that particular part of his anatomy. Robin's book clatters to the floor, and he hurries to pick it back up as soon as Reynard is off him, checking it for damages. ]

Don't worry about it.

[ His tone isn't quite as forgiving as his words. ]

Did I... break your book?

[His voice does probably give away that he isn't even quite sure how a book could be broken like this, but at least the apology isn't all insincere.]

This is why I prefer staying closer to the ground.
