[His voice does probably give away that he isn't even quite sure how a book could be broken like this, but at least the apology isn't all insincere.]

This is why I prefer staying closer to the ground.

What? Oh, no no no.

[ He runs a hand through his hair and takes a deep breath, willing the grumpiness away. It isn't as if Reynard did it on purpose. ]

Sorry, I'm a little irrational when it comes to books. It leads to a slight lack of manners at times.

Don't worry about it. I'm a bit irrational when it comes to....

[He pauses, tilts his head and then shrugs.]

Always, really.

I suppose rationality is about as relative as anything else when you get right down to it in any case.

[ He lets out a bit of an amused huff. ]

And there I go, trying to sound clever again. Soon I'll start using big words too, you'll see.

I wouldn't mind at all if you did. Words were my first love.

[Reynard looks around for somewhere to sit down and finally ends up just sitting on the ground, legs folded under him and his hands behind him.]

Music was mine, but words weren't far behind.

[ Robin unfolds his legs to put his feet back down on the floor and leafs through the book to find where he was before he dropped it. Once he finds the correct page he makes a mental note of it and closes the book, since this little encounter seems to want to turn into an actual conversation. ]

I'm pretty sure music would reject my love. I'm just fine with listening, but you really don't want to hear me sing.

I'd imagine you can sing?

[faeconman]

I do all right.

[ Ahahahaha. Aha. Ha.

Yeah, he's a bit better than all right. ]

What does one have to do to listen, short of hoping you'll just shower nearby?

[faeconman]

You could try asking nicely.

And so I shall! Good thing my mother taught me manners, I suppose.

Will you please sing, Robin, so I can listen?

[faeconman]

[ He glances around a little, not really wanting to disturb the other passngers, but then sort of shrugs a bit and starts to sing quietly. ]

[smugfox]

[And Reynard listens, enthralled and amazed, because who can expect anyone to have a voice like that?

He watches Robin, eyes on him as he sits in the aisle between the seats. Perhaps he reads into the song and into how much feeling Robin brings into it, but who can blame him?

It's ethereal, not from this world. Beautiful.]
