It's only a few hour plane ride from England to Italy, but the team has a little time to settle in and get to know each other and/or ask questions of Zee in preparation for meeting with her dad.

And of course, when they arrive, she takes the lead, bringing them through the streets of Florence, Italy at night and leading them around the door of a sold out theater advertisement for the Amazing Zatara.

There's more to the story than just simply magic in Storybrooke, isn't there?

[Gold hasn't thought she was this crazy since she started talking about portals straight out of the gate, which was less weird when you consider... The Veil. BUT THIS IS CRAZY TALK.]

[ emma doesn't say anything, but despite her attempts to refrain, a shifty and protective gaze fixes for just a split second on hook, a few seats away. ]

[He follows her gaze (spot check 20) and then jerks back to stare at her, completely stunned.] So I do know him.

[That's the only explanation for why they've been at each others' throats from the start of all this. They know each other and he doesn't need Emma to tell him what their history is. It's probably unpleasant.]

In that he's a squire to the Knights, sure. But if you don't remember, can you really say you know him beyond that? [ a beat. she nods, admitting; ] You've met before.

[Gold gives her a look, but he can't argue semantics, because he loves semantics too much.]

And here I'd convinced myself he just makes a terrible first impression.

[He hadn't convinced himself of it at all, actually, but it was fairly touch and go there for a bit.]

Which, granted, is also true. [ she arches an eyebrow, considering. and also deflecting. ]

[Shrug. Whatever, Emma, you don't know his life.

And then Gold goes quiet for a second, because he's thinking very, very hard about this next question.]

So what do you know about him?

Not as much as I'd like to. [ she's just going to keep a cool deadpan and pretend she's not aware of the fact that her sentence sounds way more like an innuendo then talking about some creep's dossier yep. ] He's a pirate, he's been working with Regina's mother to try and get to Storybrooke and kill you. But, from what I can tell, until he got to the castle, he didn't even know your name anymore.

[undealt]

[And all Gold took out of that was:]

Beats the hell out of me. You've got more grudges than admirers by a longshot, it's not my job to keep up with them. I was just trying to stay alive.

[He just... He can't. He just rolls his eyes and goes back to focusing on the overhead compartments like they hold some great mystery.]
