The Knights split up, Tia taking Rose, Dimitri, and Amrita in the rented vehicle towards two of the more distant sites from the hotel, while Eric leads Aurelius and Lila through the back alleys of the city to somewhere nearby. It's late by now, and Chicago is alive with the sights and sounds of nighttime in the distance. A light rain falls, dripping off the overhangs of the roofs above and pooling against the sidewalks.

I have a question, before you start defending your brethren. What does psionic mean? [Diplomacy 22, the fact that Lila is trying to be the peacemaker / voice of reason here is really telling of the people in this group.]

[That caught Rose's attention, brow furrowing as she turned to Eric.] They were supposed to meet up with us when they were done.

[Looking back to Dimitri for confirmation.]

They haven't checked in?

[Dimitri's brow furrows.]

I'll call them.

[And then he pulls out his phone and steps away from the group to call Tia. If she doesn't answer, he'll try Amrita as well.]

[Dimitri puts the phone to his ear after punching the numbers in, glancing at Rose briefly before focusing on listening. It's not exactly quiet in the bar, even if it is a bit quieter near the door.

[Judging from the look that Rose just gave Lila, yes, yes she could have phrased that better; the Dhampir removing herself from the group so that she could eavesdrop on Dimitri's conversation, (assuming anyone answered.)]

[ Amrita is just getting to her feet after jumping out a window when the telephone rings, and she rips it out of her pocket whilst taking off at a run.

She sees that it's Dimitri and thus deems it worth the risk to pick up because Tia needs help. ]

[Dimitri glances hard over at the group, knowing that at least Rose will have her eye on him. He gestures with his head toward the door, indicating that they needed to move.]

[There's a shift in Rose's demeanor; gone was the mouthy girl and in her place was a Dhampir in Guardian mode.]

We're going. [Already on the move whether others are ready to join her or not.]

[Lila nudges Aurelius' arm, like come on smarty pants, and glances at "Jack" before her eyes slide to the friendly neighborhood lumberjack.] You in, oh fearless hunter?

Tia's in big trouble, she told me to run, I had to leave her behind and I don't know what's happened to her.
