The date of the dual concerts is fast approaching. While his teammates have been involved on intermittent missions striking at other laboratories like the one they discovered under NOVA, Finnick has been honing his pop star cover and working non-stop on an album and publicity. Elena and Myri have spent considerable time around NOVA as well, posing as part of Finnick and Rafael's entourages to keep an eye on activity from Chad and company.

For all intents and purposes, however, they've evinced little sinister behavior at all. Observing the artists merely seems to reveal singers preparing for a tour, and Chad spends little time in the office. When they do see him, however, he is always accompanied by the Mind Master. If it weren't for the drama lurking behind the scenes as the power struggle between the Becksworth brothers draws to a head, it would almost seem peaceful.

[Myri has been remaining fairly quiet, watching everything ~~mostly finnick~~ but when Burt speaks up and asks Elena to run an errand, she perks up.]

I'll go with you. [She says, flashing a smile as she stands and walks over to Elena.] I have to use the little girl's room anyway. [bluff 20 total]

Sure, fine, whatever, just chop chop, people.

[Elena gives Myri a grin, reaching for her hand to hold as if they're two besties going of to the bathroom together. It would give them a bit of leeway on how much time they took.]

We'll be back soon.

[And then she squeezes Myri's hand in a 'let's go' gesture and they head out the door into the hallway.]

[meanwhile, finnick is still droppin' it like it's hot. and getting kind of bored tbh.]

Do I have to do this much longer?

[Isn't it nice when girls who previously were at each other's throats become besties? It's probably because they had to bond over neither of them being Taylor Swift, sob.

Myri takes Elena's hand and waves playfully to Finnick, Rafael, and Burt as they exit the room and head off. Once they're a safe distance away, she looks to Elena.]

Let's get to the studio first. Anywhere after that, we can merely tell them we got lost on the way back.

[Taylor Swift is a bitch and a slut, okay. The enemy of your enemy is your friend, or something. This is totally a legit explanation.

Elena looks over at her, nodding. It's a good enough plan, and hopefully they can do a little 'looking around' before they're questioned.]

The quicker we get to the studio, the more time we'll have before he gets irritated that we aren't back yet.

[And she starts to walk toward the elevator, to head to the sixth floor (if they aren't on it already) and find the right room. (Nav 14)]

[ as the girls head to another thread, burt frowns, looks at his watch, and says, annoyed: ] Fine, you can take five while I work with Little Italy. [ MAKE A SPOT CHECK ]

[ wow take a midol burt. whatever, finnick is content enough to walk away from the cameras and grab a water bottle. (spot 11) ]

[ well, he'd at least notice dumage outside the door on this side, in the hallway, which is odd, because she usually... doesn't come inside nova hq o__o ]

[ well he is not about to let this stone go unturned. that and he actually likes dumage unlike 90% of team failboat ... ]

What brings you out this way?

[ she folds her arms, leaning against the wall in a glittery silver dress and high heels ] Taking a break from all your worries, are you?

[he faces her with an arm against the wall.] I don't know if "break" is what I'd call it.

Most people wouldn't call what you're doing much of a sacrifice. But I can tell it's hardly all fun and games.

Anyone who thinks it's all fun and games is welcome to take my spot for a day. Most things aren't as easy as they appear.

I'm here for Blade. [ she shrugs slightly ] I went a couple months without contacting him whatsoever. Keeps the intrigue alive when I show up again.

How remarkably novel of you. [ there might be a layer of actual surprise somewhere under that sarcasm ] But it's nothing I can't handle. Keijen's wrapped around my little finger.

He is from the Shadow World, but the others don't seem to be: Rynn and Devereaux, that is. Keijen has to have been here some time. He makes it sound like decades. He's obviously older than he looks.

[ it's just then that rafael pops out in the hall too ] Have the girls not returned yet?

[NOW THAT YOU MENTION IT ...... finnick's brow furrows a little]

Not that I've seen. It's been awhile, hasn't it? Just to be fetching papers ...
