Although Alec isn't actually interested in watching anything on TV, he couldn't get any rest in the large and empty room waiting for him back along the hall of Squire rooms, so he ventured out to explore more of the castle, this time ending up in the TV room. Currently he is slumped back on the couch looking a bit uncomfortable, really. A giant bowl of popcorn on the cushion next to him, and his feet propped up on a table. He is flicking through channels far too quickly to actually be able to tell what is on any of them. It's more an attempt to kill time than anything else. Five days and he is already getting a bit stir crazy. Not that he can't just go out but that isn't really what is under his skin. Either way, he rests his head on his arm and keeps flicking through channels, his knee shaking up and down with excess energy.

He should probably work some of this energy buildup off, and soon before it gets out of hand and he goes wild in the halls of the castle. But the training room isn't really his first choice, and the other options available to him would probably cause some trouble.

Maybe he'll go for a run in the morning.

The castle is huge and still so unfamiliar. Dawn keeps hoping that something will trigger a memory, a cascade of memories. She doesn't remember much of who she was before crossing through the Veil -- she could have been this completely horrible, awful person. Or she could have been a saint. Either way, not knowing is frustrating enough to make resting uneasy. There's books enough here, and she feels a certain fondness for them when she runs her fingers over the spines lining the shelves in the library.

There's light and sound from the TV room when she leaves the library. Well, rushed, scattered bits of sound, like a record skipping. She pokes her head in, greeting by the scent of fresh popcorn and Alec looking relaxed there. Her eyes glance at the tv screen as it flickers, moving from channel to channel to channel before anything really registered.

"Are you testing the remote for quality or is there really nothing good on?"

In spite of having the attention span of a goldfish and getting bored with exceptional ease, Kyla is actually surprisingly all right with having a lot of down time on her hands. It might just be because she is far from done enjoying the rather luxurious environment that all of a sudden has become her home.

If she's ever lived in a place like this before, she can't remember it so this is quite an experience and she intends to enjoy ever availabe facet of it since good things never last and this is bound to come to an end as well. She's all right with that, it's just the way of the world, but she's going to get maximum enjoyment out of the situation while it lasts.

She'd sought out the TV-room in a vague sort of quest for company, and when she sees Alec her face splits in a wide grin. She quite likes him, and he definitely counts as company. Good company, even. Besides, he's got snacks.

She wanders over to the couch he's sitting on, picking up the popcorn bowl to replace it with herself and swing her shapely legs up to place them over Alec's lap with zero regard for personal space as she leans her back against the armrest and places the popcorn bowl in her own lap.
