TV Room ♔Just stay in all night and dance in the neon light

WHO|| Alec and anyone who wants to join him
WHAT || Getting to know the castle, and avoiding his room
WHERE || The TV Room
WHEN || May 5th, 2013, From 9:00PM onward
HOW || Prose OR Actionspam
Although Alec isn't actually interested in watching anything on TV, he couldn't get any rest in the large and empty room waiting for him back along the hall of Squire rooms, so he ventured out to explore more of the castle, this time ending up in the TV room. Currently he is slumped back on the couch looking a bit uncomfortable, really. A giant bowl of popcorn on the cushion next to him, and his feet propped up on a table. He is flicking through channels far too quickly to actually be able to tell what is on any of them. It's more an attempt to kill time than anything else. Five days and he is already getting a bit stir crazy. Not that he can't just go out but that isn't really what is under his skin. Either way, he rests his head on his arm and keeps flicking through channels, his knee shaking up and down with excess energy.
He should probably work some of this energy buildup off, and soon before it gets out of hand and he goes wild in the halls of the castle. But the training room isn't really his first choice, and the other options available to him would probably cause some trouble.
Maybe he'll go for a run in the morning.

If she's ever lived in a place like this before, she can't remember it so this is quite an experience and she intends to enjoy ever availabe facet of it since good things never last and this is bound to come to an end as well. She's all right with that, it's just the way of the world, but she's going to get maximum enjoyment out of the situation while it lasts.
She'd sought out the TV-room in a vague sort of quest for company, and when she sees Alec her face splits in a wide grin. She quite likes him, and he definitely counts as company. Good company, even. Besides, he's got snacks.
She wanders over to the couch he's sitting on, picking up the popcorn bowl to replace it with herself and swing her shapely legs up to place them over Alec's lap with zero regard for personal space as she leans her back against the armrest and places the popcorn bowl in her own lap.
"Evenin'"

"Well good evenin to you as well."
He reaches over to grab a few bites of popcorn and watches her with slightly raised brows before shifting back more comfortably against the couch.
"I was beginning to think it would be just another boring night. What have you been getting up to?"
Don't mind the arm draped over your knee Kyla. What is personal space, anyhow?

Before answering she tosses a popcorn up in the air, and thanks to a dex roll of 12 she manages to catch it in her mouth and no chocking happens.
"A bit of this and that, and a whole lot of nothing. What about your stunning self?"
no subject
"Looking for secret passages and stalking dark corridors like a shadow creeper. Have you seen how many channels this TV gets?"
He eats his popcorn and pretends the TV interests him at all.

Not that she usually cares much about dignity but that is just not the way she wants to go.
Help a girl out, Alec?

Oops. Well that went horribly awry. She is lucky he has a spot check of 15. Any less and he might not have noticed right off the bat what the problem was.
He pulls her up off the couch, arms wrapping around her to give her a rough jolt of a squeeze. Don't choke to death on him, okay, Kyla? There are only so many people he has made friends with just yet and it would be a shame to lose one with such perfect breasts to a piece of popcorn.
He jokes with a forced grin as he squeezed again.
"I know the popcorn is good but it isn't to die for, alright? Now spit it out."

That little bit is however enough for Kyla to attempt coughing it out, and somehow miraculously (rolled an 18!) the damn thing flies out of her mouth.
At first she's a little stunned, dragging in a couple of ragged breaths as she stares at that damn piece of popcorn for a few long moments...
And then she starts to laugh. She doesn't remember a lot of her past life but she's fairly certain that she's been through rather a lot, and to think that she might have gotten through all that just to get killed by a snack... well, what can you do but laugh?
So she does, loud and free as she leans back against Alec, in no hurry to leave those nice and strong arms of his.

He laughs with her, regardless of the chaos of the past few moments, keeping his arms around her and shaking his head. Seriously? Death by popcorn should not even be a possibility.
It's too ridiculous.
"Are you okay?"
no subject
She turns around so that she's facing him instead and wraps her arms loosely around his neck with a grin.
"Otherwise I would've had to haunt you for the rest of your days, I think."
Since it would have been kind of a little bit his fault that she died. He did throw the lethal popcorn after all.

He rubs her back, but he grins back, considering stealing a kiss from said fair maiden.
"I really don't think you would have enjoyed haunting me for the rest of my life. We could have taken a road trip though. Find you someone more fun to haunt."
He drops his arms but not his grin.
"Get you a ghost boyfriend."
no subject
"Hush, didn't your mother teach you not to use bad words?"
An attempt to steal a kiss would probably go over very well, though it would be more like a fair exchange since she would steal one right back in turn.

Alec couldn't help but laugh at her reaction to the comment. The crinkle to her nose was adorable. He leaned in once he was certain she wasn't going to start choking again and stole a small kiss, pulling away to fall back against the couch once more.
