It's been a long journey at sea, as the Knights, Zatanna, and her father followed the enchanted compass' guidance from Europe, across the Atlantic Ocean. Risa stands on the bow of the boat, a shawl wrapped around herself as she stares out into the gathering gloom, frowning.

"The Devil's Triangle," she announces, out of nowhere. "That's our destination, isn't it."

[Yeah Hook was unconscious. He's not missing anymore exposition so he follows as well, not giving a shit if he's actually welcome or not.]

[ amara reaches out to wrap her hand around the staff's handle, and her eyes trace up the length of charming's arm oh so slowly and coquettishly until they light on his face. ]

Not so soon. It was a very powerful spell, not to be used lightly.

[ and she flashes him a very small, hesitant smile ] I'm Amara, by the way. I'm sure you caught that, but-- it was hardly a proper introduction.

[why did you all leave him to talk to her by himself? He is a poor oblivious target for this weird magical thing and.... Basically you all suck...]

Oh. Right, Amara. [nice to meet you? Glad you aren't trying to kill us?] I'm David. David Charming... Since there's another David. [he gestures over to the grouping with David for her future reference]

You'll recall Giovanni Zatara's explanation of how he and his wife met. Sindella was cursed to fall in love with him from the moment she laid eyes on him. In grabbing Amara's staff, David drew her attention to him. And, well... [He gestures to the pair of them a good twenty feet away now.] You can guess what happened next.

A curse so she fell in love with him? But, it's not - I mean, it's not two-sided, right? David has a wife. Well ... Two, if we're being technical. My mother's in this world somewhere, and we're going to find her. What's Amara going to do when we do?

Well, by that time, we may have found a cure for her affliction. Until the time that occurs, there is nothing we can do. She is in love with him and in love with him she will stay. For now, I'd say it's best we don't incur her wrath. [He points at Charming.] He can let her down gently, if he wishes, once we're back at the castle and she can be contained.

[Except the look on his face is a portrait of HE BETTER NOT.]

[ well let's all congregate together now please. Francesca's slowly trying to lead the rest of the party towards Gold and Emma and she speaks up at Gold's words: ] Right, back at the castle. We will be better suited to make such decisions in a more stable environment.

We just need to find a way to get back. And figure out what to do with all these people.

What, Wynn doesn't have his own personal fleet of helicopters for evac? [ she's ... probably being sarcastic. probably. she turns her attention back to gold. ] We should get the ones with families back to them.

David Charming. [ she repeats the name as if she can't believe he's serious, but it's adorable that he is, and it's the most perfect name she's ever heard. 8| ]

You came to our shores... for Zatanna? To find her mother?

Yeah, that's right. We just wanted to help her find her family.

[And he looks around because ... where did everyone go?]

[ don't worry charming, some of us are keeping an eye on you. from a distance, but still.

and to emma:] Right now it's more a question of how to make that happen. [ and no, there is no fleet 8| luckily our drakenet devices have tracking equipment i'm sure so maybe we should phone home now. ]

[ amara looks out across the others a little suspiciously ] I meant... who are you? Your group?

We're here to help. [He knows enough to know not to mention the Knights.] The rest isn't important. [Diplomacy 20 total but it probably doesn't matter with her, huh...]

No, I... suppose what's important is that you're here now. [ a small smile ]

Right. [Her returns her smile, happy that she's accepting it. He thinks he's dodging a bullet. Yeah. OH IF YOU ONLY KNEW, CHARMING.]

I should, uh... get back with the others. See if they need anything.

[He turns and heads over, not really inviting her to come along because OFFICIAL KNIGHT BUSINESS, KAY.]

[ francesca looks up at charming's arrival ] We're calling headquarters now to figure out what to do next. Everything still... okay with our new friend? [ she tips her head in amara's direction, assuming she's out of ear-shot ]

Yeah, she's... friendly. [He reaches up and rubs the back of his neck because it makes him kind of uncomfortable and he doesn't know why???]

That's one way to put it. [ she glances back at the woman again, not feeling as guilty as she probably should about all this ] At least she was able to help us save all these people. Wynn will know better what to do about the curse.

[uncease]

[He just nods, glancing over his shoulder back at the magi before sighing and looking around at the crowd of people.]

Are they okay? [Being held under the effect of magic for that long might have done something bad, okay? He's concerned for everyone because he's the group dad. Deal with it.]

[ she follows his gaze and shrugs. ] I'm not sure. They seem to be. [ and she'll look back to the rest of the group a few steps away and wait for Emma to finish her phone call. ]
