Lis'sa meets the squires inside the laboratory, behind its "Biohazard" labelled doors. She doesn't really offer much of a greeting, or even introduce herself - just waits inside the strange multi-storied library section until everyone is gathered, and then instructs them to follow her up the steps. A great deal of models are suspended from the ceiling that look like space age designs for jet planes, cars, boats, and any number of other things. There are other objects that are much more inexplicable: a giant silver ball, suspended by several rods, for example.

There's another set of doors at the end of the balcony, and she swipes an access card through a reader besides them. They depress with a space age his. revealing a clean white laboratory, with rows and rows of tables and lab equipment set up. Numerous knights buzz around in white lab coats, working under microscopes and on computers, conferring over a number of projects.

"This way," she instructs simply, not sparing the lab a second glance, heading for a door on the left hand side of the room. She presses a hand against the panel there, and the red light changes to green, unlocking the door for everyone's access.

Beyond is a very long room, with rows of labelled cases and cabinets with transparent glass revealing what's inside. Lis'sa steps crisply to the other side of the large stainless steel table.

I was thinking something along the lines of new eye-gear. Something that has a flash-resistance to it, or a filtered shade adjustment for different hues of light. I'd try my hand at it but I'm not too sure the knowledge I have of mechanics would apply in this time.

Is that all? [Said as if this were the simplest request of all time] That wouldn't take long.

[He smirks at her smart-ass tone. So she wanted to show off? He liked it. He looked around for a few moments more, thinking.]

What about custom made melee weapons? Once I check out the armory, if I don't find anything I like, I could draw up the designs for a weapon I really like. It'd be kinda nice to carry around my blades if they're more easily concealed, and easier to get to.

Like with something spring loaded, for instance?

[He makes a rumbly noise of agreement.]

Exactly.

Child's play. We'll have something for you soon.

[He considers her a moment, his jaw working to the side. He couldn't think of anything else he might want at the moment, but-

And then inspiration struck. He grinned.]

Okay. You've got me about stumped. Except... [He pauses, weighing his choice of words.]

What about transportation? If I got myself something and I wanted it modified, think you could handle it?

Car? Cycle? Jetplane? [Yes, these are serious questions.]

[Gosh, she just makes this so hard on his happy little heart.]

How bout all three? Course, I haven't driven any of the vehicles from this time but they can't be any more difficult than flying something bigger than the Hunter-Gratzna. [He says this so flippantly, like anyone should be able to fly a spaceship bigger than two football fields in length.]

Think maybe I'll start out with a cycle.

You'll have to actually buy one first. [/buzzkill]

Think I could write that off as a mission expense? I need it to get around you know. [Smirk ensuing.]

You'd have to take that one up with Wynn.

Maybe I'll just try my luck. It's gotten me pretty far before.

[That gets a good laugh outta Riddick. If she only knew half of it.]

I count myself lucky for coming here how I did, and becoming a Knight. Otherwise I never would have been able to check out your... Hoard.

[He smiles at her again, ~~with a 17 Charisma check because yeah, he meant it like that~~crossing his arms over his chest and leaning against the table. He's determined to get the last word.]

Actually, it's Wynn's Hoard. [Yep. C wut she did thar.]

[Well snap. That just deflated his sexy. Gross Lis'sa. Gross.]

Well, when you put it that way maybe I woulda been glad to skip the Hoard.

[He makes a wry face at her. Still just yuck, and he doesn't think he could turn that around to work for him. He give a low chuckle, admitting defeat this one time.]

But then you would have missed out on all these swell upgrades.

[He lets out a rumbly laugh, nodding his head.]

Wouldn't wanna do that now, would I? Good thing I came and checked it out anyway, hmm?

It doesn't hurt that this briefing was required.

Something being required hasn't ever influenced me before. They also say a pilot's license is required to fly, but I've never had on of those before.

[His voice drops, getting all rumbly again as he steps closer to her, reaching around her to get something else from the table behind them.]

This time I'm glad I listened to the requirements.

[She just stiffens slightly, and says nothing as he reaches across her. And keeps her eyes on him until he's moved back.]

[He just grabs another gadget from the table behind her, giving her back her personal space. He would continue to question her about the different devices available and how to activate each one. Lol, we can just assume he takes up a LOT of her time with this without having to go into detail for each one. The one other thing he would want to know before the orientation was through is:]

So, when did you want to work on those guns together?

I think I'm out of time today. You'll have to get started without me.

[He smirks. She's not getting out of this one so easily.]

Nah, it can wait till you're available. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to show you where the flaw in your mold is.
