The hour is finally upon our heroes, to learn whether their crazy plan to invest in making Finnick and Rafael international superstars under Burt Becksworth's management will pay off, and keep control of NOVA Records out of the hands of Chad Becksworth and his sinister compatriots. Now, as the Knights finish taking their seats in the balconies directly overlooking the stage, the concert goes live, broadcasting around the world, to where even other members of the Knighthood in London can gather to watch.

The camera pans across the endless sea of gathered, curious fans, who shake their arms wildly for their two seconds of fame, and then zooms in on a blonde figure on one corner of the stage, where she stands ready with a microphone: Buffy Summers.

[ the action of this post will be continually propelled by the interspersed musical numbers performed by finnick and rafael. each musical number will be up for a short amount of ooc time, in which players are free to create mini-thread responses directly to that song comment. these can be for internal reflection, to make commentary to the neighbors seated in their rows, for backstage convos for those involved in the program, or for 'host' commentary between some songs by archer and kat. threads that result from these responses should be kept short and sweet, as each song is only 3 to 5 minutes long, which doesn't leave a lot of time for in depth conversations. ideally, by the time the next 'number' is posted (as a direct response to the last musical number comment), your response threads from the previous number should be considered over and done with, and you can continue anything going on in them as a new mini-thread under the most recently posted song. in order to keep track of when things are rolling on to the next song, I highly encourage everyone to please track this entire post. ]

Descant. [He nods grimly and just keeps allowing himself to be dragged. He might as well be the world's most sullen teddy bear for all the effort he's putting into this. He just wants to get Jade where she needs to be and maybe punch Rafael's scrawny Italian face in.] No one calls me Desmond.

she looks cheerfully apologetic as she takes the turn. ] Descant. Sorry. Some of it's there, but a lot of it's a blur. [ shrug ] But ... I have this good feeling about you. [ she turns and walks backwards a few steps, sincerity in her eyes ] So if you helped me get here or something - and I get the sense you did - just... thank you. I don't know how it happened, or what would make my mother change her mind about letting me see him... [ she glances behind her, towards the stage, wistful ] But I do remember how it felt to live without the memories I gave up. Like there was this hole that nothing else could fill. [ she looks away, as burt brushes beyond them to go talk to the conductor. she waits until he's out of hearing again before she says distantly: ] I'd thought remembering was the worst kind of curse, if I had to live in the same world and couldn't be with him. That's why I had her take it all away. But now?

I'm not so sure that was ever the right idea.

[ a backstage hand steps out to mic her and she shoots des a look again, shaken out of her reverie, a little sheepish ] Sorry... just processing a lot of things out loud.

[Des lets his hand slip out of hers and doesn't move from a position about five feet away from her. Maybe Rafael had been right to do this to her- bring back the real her, instead of letting her stay a stranger in love with another man. It was selfish, but was it, really? Or was what Des wanted all the more selfish- letting her live a lie with him, knowing her heart and soul belonged to someone else and she just couldn't reach those feelings.

He shoves his hands into the pockets of his suit and nods. Maybe it's meant to be like this.] I'm happy for you, Sunshine. [He nods at the stage.] Now go get 'em.

[ she pauses for a moment to just give him a strange little smile, but she doesn't say anything in response, just turns finally and heads towards the stage, as burt comes back out. ]

We're ready to roll. What say we take this thing out with a bang, huh? [ he slaps des on the shoulder as he walks past ] See if our girl's as good as I remember.

[Des jolts out of his stupor, normally not caught off-guard by anything and turns around to shoot Burt a glare before glowering and moving closer to see the stage from the wings.] I bet she'll be even better.
