WHAT || CHAPTER ONE FINALE: Rafael Giovanni & Finnick's televised international concert debut
WHERE || A music hall in Chicago, IL
WHEN || July 3rd, 2013 [ forward dated]
HOW || Actionspam

The hour is finally upon our heroes, to learn whether their crazy plan to invest in making Finnick and Rafael international superstars under Burt Becksworth's management will pay off, and keep control of NOVA Records out of the hands of Chad Becksworth and his sinister compatriots. Now, as the Knights finish taking their seats in the balconies directly overlooking the stage, the concert goes live, broadcasting around the world, to where even other members of the Knighthood in London can gather to watch.

The camera pans across the endless sea of gathered, curious fans, who shake their arms wildly for their two seconds of fame, and then zooms in on a blonde figure on one corner of the stage, where she stands ready with a microphone: Buffy Summers.

[ the action of this post will be continually propelled by the interspersed musical numbers performed by finnick and rafael. each musical number will be up for a short amount of ooc time, in which players are free to create mini-thread responses directly to that song comment. these can be for internal reflection, to make commentary to the neighbors seated in their rows, for backstage convos for those involved in the program, or for 'host' commentary between some songs by archer and kat. threads that result from these responses should be kept short and sweet, as each song is only 3 to 5 minutes long, which doesn't leave a lot of time for in depth conversations. ideally, by the time the next 'number' is posted (as a direct response to the last musical number comment), your response threads from the previous number should be considered over and done with, and you can continue anything going on in them as a new mini-thread under the most recently posted song. in order to keep track of when things are rolling on to the next song, I highly encourage everyone to please track this entire post. ]

[Okay wow Vi took a sip and wanted to cry... but nope, nothing. Huh.]

Yeeeah, come on, let's get you some sugar to go with that fairy dust, Van Gogh. [She glances over to make sure he is actually going to join her at the bar... which is... somewhere.] Did you quote Star Trek at me, by the by? I detected a little Bones.

Probably. I've been around awhile. References happen. [He wipes his mouth off with the back of his sleeve and follows her to the bar.] Don't remember your name, by the way, Buttercup. Just telling you that right now.
graveflowers: (Ω soft smile.)

Vi. Violet. [She shrugs.] Buttercup works, you don't need to remember. [Whatever, memory loss can just be a trend okay. She pulls her little shiny credit card out when they reach the bar -- it was in her bra, alas no pepperspray -- and pushes it across.] Go wild.

It's Descant. Des. [He smirks.] First person who's ever told me I could call them a dumb nickname before. [He slides up on the stool and pockets the flask.] Two shots of tequila and whatever the lady wants.
graveflowers: (Ω thoughtful.)

It's not that dumb. [If she remembered she could tell him that her daddy called her that so it's obviously not dumb. Besides "what's up, buttercup" comes out of her mouth on occasion. Instead she shrugs again.]

I'm fine. [She hesitates by the stool for a minute before hopping up next to him.] No, I lied. A white angel, please. [A beat.] Half gin, half vodka in a martini glass. Three cherries.

[Des cringes at the word angel and snatches one of his tequila shots and downs it, cringing and not even bothering with the lime chaser.] So what's your deal with Jade's necklace?
graveflowers: (Ω displeased.)

[Fruit ninja will take that lime off your hands...]

I convinced Jade to switch necklaces with me to see if we could trade energy because she felt like shit which in hindsight sounds like I should be punched in the face because that was a stupid plan all around. But whatever, it didn't work, but she did feel a little better when it was off, whereas I got a dream vision from hell, maybe actually hell, I haven't been there yet in this place, they could have redecorated while I was away. I just don't know. Dad does wacky things when I'm on holiday. Anyway, I thought if she didn't wear it for a while she might get some energy back because the necklace might have been draining her. Which, now all things considered, I actually believe.

But I guess it doesn't matter anymore.
