The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Actually? Pretty sure that's one of the only things we're lacking. Though I don't know, some of the Dragon's Light might have one upstairs for growing herbs or something.

Okay, let me just list the ways in which this would fail miserably if left to my own devices. A. I don't exactly exudely princessly charm and grace and... princessy crap contrary to some people's ideas and, to be quite frank, I should probably lodge a formal complaint or, like, write a strongly worded letter to my mom because rude, I should at least get a tiara out of this. B. Public speaking makes me want to hurl. And c, which is probably the important one, when we met the first time all he could do was send me back to Jess all peace out kiddo, but now he can be like, peace out kiddo, go back to Jess and have fun never seeing your fiends again, bye! So... my impending catastrophic failure could fail so hard. As opposed to just baby hard.

Actually, speaking as a completely impartial observer with absolutely nothing to gain from the discussion, what are the dating policies in this joint?

Uh, pretty open unless you're a Dragon's Claw, but ew. Why would you want to bother, period?

Why would I bother dating or... why would I bother dating a Dragon's Claw, because I dunno about you but Thomas. [She whistles, but it is pretty obvious she is joking. About the Dragon's Claw thing, not the Thomas being gorgeous thing. That is just fact.]

To answer your question, though, because dating is condusive to frequent making out and I don't know, because its nice. It's probably nice. I suspect it would be nice. Whatever, it doesn't matter because I won'tbe dating so -- Wait, why are you all ew about it?

Hey I'm not saying anything bad, I am just feeling some excessive man hate when we're surrounded by dudes that aren't all douchefaucets so, you know, one would think you'd be less hatey.

[She almost says no, she only told Felicity is the vaguest way and in such a flippant manner it sort of didn't count. But she is Kat's squire and Kat was right, they hadn't gotten to know each other so she might as well throw it all out there. Her nose wrinkles slightly though, as if she really doesn't want to admit it out loud.

Oh hey now, do I look fainty? I killed a Thingy with a train and single handedly healed an entire forest of dryads and I have yet to pass out in his presence, I mean there was one time it was borderline with the claws and the blood and the ow, but totally retained consciousness. It sucks because I could have picked someone slightly less unattainable, but I have totally maintained my supreme badassery regardless. And I haven't punched Archer in the face yet or tried to jump the elf, so my self-control is, like, off the charts. Yeah, yeah. And there is your glowing recommendation from me.
