Nothing is okay.

What was meant to be the Knights' triumphant collaborative effort to cut off Chad Becksworth's bid for total control of NOVA Records, allowing them to follow the trail elsewhere, has descended into chaos. Rafael's songs triggered some kind of reaction in Jade that allowed her to regain her lost memories, only to have their reunion cut tragically short by the actions of a hitman who took her hostage on stage, demanding her necklace. While Myri and Violet attempted to convince him that the necklace did not lie with her, Jade signaled to Rafael that she meant to utilize the distraction to break free - but things went out of control and Rafael's bullets struck Jade instead. The Knights felled the hitman, as the world watched, and Rafael begged a distraught and enraged Des to end his life. Meanwhile, a mysterious figure that only Buffy & Spike could see assisted Myrilandel in healing Jade enough to hang on for a little time more...

Time for people to say goodbye.

In the meantime, the police have arrived, arresting Rafael, Archer, and Des (or attempting to), and preparing Jade to be taken to the hospital. Everyone else is being ordered to head outside to be taken down to the station for questioning. It's a hectic scene, but people can finally snatch a few moments amid the chaos to try to make sense of what just happened...

[ this is the first time buffy has spoken since des left because her mind's been on rafael and des this whole time and she's distracted and wistful. when she realizes how many people are probably radically opposed to this idea, her eyes finally come back into focus and she straightens up. ]

... What? It was just an idea. With no one inside, obviously.

I was thinking more 'sneak in and see what they've got in their evidence lockers and maybe "borrow" a few things' myself. Not to mention someone's gotta bust in the morgue to get a chip off one of the dead dudes.

Yeah, duh.

Then we blow it up. Leaving no loose ends.

Uh-huh. [She glances around.] I was curious. And a fire, concentrated to the evidence room, could be less wholly destructive then just... boom.

Yeah, and a giant freaking explosion would do it a lot quicker, and without engaging the fire suppression systems, which would just draw more attention, and more police.

Why are we taking cues from Helen Keller over here anyway?

Whereas the police are likely to just ignore a massive explosion.

Okay! So, we break in, figure out what they know, poke around the dead body - which, I might add, eww - and burn the rest to the ground so they can't use any of it.

[ omg don't mess with elena like that gurl. finnick apparently watched a documentary on helen keller and became obsessed or something with his nat 20 pop culture check. however he wasted all his intimidation on prostitute jokes because he crit failed his intimidation check for glaring at archer again. emoting is hard y'all ... ]

[Archer actually got a 20 will save (impressive considering his will is only +1) further cementing in my head that only Finnick is capable of intimidating him.]

Well unless they've got Barry Allen on the force, it'd be kind of difficult to react to an instantaneous explosion!.

..Or, also, Jay Garrick, Wally West, or Bart Allen... which I doubt.

Potential explosions aside, who's interested in hitting the station up? It's gonna require some serious sneakage. Same for whoever's going to the morgue. And I guess Gar, you'll probably be in charge of the James research, right? So she'll need some backup on that, or following up whatever leads come up. And someone needs to look into how well Rafael's tracks are covered for the whole... murder trail thing.

I'll hit the station with whoever else wants to. If anyone's gonna run into trouble, it'll be there.

[ and buffy pretty much thinks it's her job to be wherever the likelihood of fighting is so that nobody gets killed. ahahahaha isn't it great how that approach worked out so well at the concert. /deadcat. ]

I'm always up for a bit of light arson. [Spike flashes Buffy a grin. He finds her eagerness for explosions about as endearing as her insistence that they're explosions that don't hurt people.

Also you're a vampire Spike stop playing with fire wtf.]

Count me in. I've got a score to settle with officer Piggly Wiggly, anyway.

No one is setting anything on fire! And Archer... [ oh dear, how to say this politely and britishly ] I... think it might be best for you to keep a lower profile for a spell.

Why don't I go with instead? [Why isn't one of the options aggressively nap? Because... that is the option she would take, honestly. But she is super fucking stealthy, oddly enough.]

[Myri hates this part- the part where people she cares about go in different directions and leave her with sophie's choice of who to go with in case something goes wrong. As Spike and Buffy pair up, she breathes a little easier. They will keep one another safe, and if anything went wrong, they could always call her.

And that's when she realizes exactly what she should do.]

I think I'd be best suited with Gar to help with research. But only if the rest of you agree to call me if anything should happen.

[Consider it like a surgeon on-call. If she can't choose between groups of friends and family, she might as well be at the ready to run to them at a moment's notice no matter where they are.]

I'll do research, too. It would be nice to do something a bit more low key for awhile. [ finnick slips his hand into myri's. he still didn't feel much like doing anything; good thing his gurlf was there to make all these life choices for him. ]

We have worked for years to ensure Rafael left no trail that the police could trace. But it is worth double checking and no one knows where to look as much as I do.
