Just as before, accessing the secret room where the Round Table is housed requires using the Knight's keycard to open the glass case beside the mural of the War in Heaven, located across from the ballroom entrance. Using the fire extinguisher as a lever to activate the "door" mechanism reveals the long torch-lit hall plastered in artwork depicting the Knight's history. The tenants of the Knighthood hang large and foreboding over the doors at the end of the hall, which stand open to reveal the brightly lit Round Table, and the majestic crystalline dragon statue presiding over it.

Come in, find a seat, meet your teammates if you haven't already. Solace is already there, waiting patiently in a seat directly to the right of where Wynn usually sits.

It's not like they can start before we're all here anyway, so late's kinda of relative, right? [ she plops into a seat, as solace just line faces at all of you, what the hell did he do to deserve this crew ... ]

[Lissa has only been here for two weeks, okay, she reserves the right to get lost for a while longer, so she makes a little face in Sydney's direction, sitting down gracefully and smiling at Thoster's exuberance.]

If they started without us then I would say we were late.

[ what flawless timing, as the boss man enters in from the long hall as lissa sits. The look in his eye makes it seem as if he heard some of that, but he only looks mildly amused. ] If you'll all be seated, we might begin. [ and as an ooc note, ruvaen's mun will not be able to participate in this mission, so we'll be sticking with the slightly smaller group present! ]

[bluffcheck]

[Thoster sat without a word, but his smile had returned a bit. Perhaps a mission was the distraction he needed.]

What've you got for us this time? [Alright so he couldn't stay silent for more than a few moments.]

[wynn]

A dinner party. [ he lets that sink in for a moment ] We've been asked to act as bodyguards for a minor celebrity who lives in the Old Money district of Massachusetts. She has reason to believe she's being stalked by an obsessive fan - who she believes is wielding Shadow abilities of some kind. She's determined for this party to proceed smoothly, and thinks it might be just what draws him out into action. That's where we'll come in.

[A dinner...party? Well, at first Sydney wonders why the need them, but as he continues, she grows more concerned.]

Are we just there to make sure her party isn't disturbed?

Who's this fan? What sort of abilities? And more importantly- will she let us partake in the festivities or are we just the hired help?

[Translation: Will they get to eat the expensive food????]

We think it's best for you all to pose as guests of the dinner party, so you'll need to come up with viable aliases for the evening. As for details on the fan in question, she was very hesitant to supply them, but said there were numerous letters left in her home, by someone who could easily bypass security without leaving a trace.

Are you leaving the alias stuff up to us? [Because Thoster can come up with something... it's likely that no one else will like it. Well, maybe Phineas.]

[wynn]

[ he nods ] There's no need for them all to be connected, either, in order to avoid suspicion.

[bluffcheck]

What suspicion? Say Phineas and I are up and coming international music sensations and the lovely ladies here just happen to be our back up dancers? We'd be remiss to leave such beauties behind during the dinner party of the century, after all...

[He finally notices Solace. Oh. Him.]

And you! You can be the group manager. [He grins, so clearly pleased with himself right now.]

[thesleeper]

[A grin slowly splays across Phineas's face.]

I think that Thoster's on to something, here...

[ faith perks right up ] Does that mean I could have a tambourine?

Anything your heart desires, lass.

Not to be the rain on your parade... [Because Thoster's plan sounds fun, if she is perfectly honest over here.] But if you were an up and coming international musical sensation, wouldn't you be slightly more recognizable?

Oh, noone really recognizes even well-known musicians.

Just give him an obtuse name, and they'll eat it up.

Or tell this woman we're helping to help the cause. If someone important swears they've heard of us, that's all we'll need.

[Wow Sydney looks pretty uncomfortable with this plan.]

I thought the point was that we didn't want to be associated with one another if something happens...

Maybe we could just go as pairs, dates and-- [She glances at Solace.] --father and daughter. Or father and son, depending on how the couples are paired. That way we would be able to mingle more easily to cover more ground and while one is talking to get information, the other could be listening and watching? [She has gone to enough functions with Rose at her back to know its a kick ass way of getting information gathering and she's seen Guardians in pair formation so many times that duos seem to be her common fall back for these situations.] Not to mention that it is highly doubtful this woman would want anyone to show her up at her own party, which I am sure you boys would. [Diplomacy 32.]

Sir Dragomir may have the better grasp of how to avoid being identified as a group. [ just a little friendly wynn advice ] That way, in the event one of your covers is discovered, the others may still move unsuspected.

[bluffcheck]

Oh, fine... Take all the fun out of it! [He says while laughing, then gives Faith a glance.]

[Phineas looks between Lissa and Sydney... Damnit, Thoster.]

I... suppose I could be someone's date?

[He says, somewhat resigned]

You can be mine, if that is okay with Sydney. [She looks at the other girl in question: do you want to be Solace's fake daughter or whatever?]
