[YOU'RE IN A TAVERN~

J/k... Well, actually kinda. Charming just wanted to grab a beer and unwind, so he's wandered his way to the bar in the castle to make himself comfortable. One may turn into a couple, and he's got the door propped open, so company is clearly welcome.]

fred's kept in touch with charming through all his bermuda refugee shit, but they haven't gotten to chill much since he's been back because fred's been on a bunch of missions hither and thither. TIME FOR CATCHIN UP. he helps himself to a stool next to charming, clapping him on the back ] Well, look what the dire cat dragged in.

[He glances up at the sound of another person, but when he sees Fred, his face breaks out in a warm smile.]

Hey! Yeah, I guess that's one way to describe it. How the hell are you, man?

[nepotism]

[ he grins back too, but then it kind of waffles as he sits ] You wanna ask me that in another week? How about 'happy to have a drink with a pal'?

[uncease]

I'll take it. [He's curious about that other part, but he gets it. Things have been kind of tense with him- worrying about Violet, concerned about the Amara situation.]

It's good to see you.

You too, dude. How's it been?

Good... good. [Someone doesn't sound very convincing.] Can't complain.

[Except about my stalker.]

[ sense motive... 2... probably because he seems mildly distracted with his own shit??? such a dumbass, fred. ]

[And then Charming crit failed a wisdom check to notice Fred's distractedness so they are just... so oblivious to the other's plight. Total bros.]

Pretty much. [After a beat more of silence, he realizes he needs to get out of his own thoughts.] Been anywhere interesting lately?

Fought some pirates to save some dwarven gold. That was new.

Oh yeah? How'd that go? [Yes, let's talk shop. This is way more easy.]

Picked up a new Knight out of it. Had a pretty damn good time of it, too.

Annnd Riddick is just gonna slide in hurr like a ninja

[Riddick had been looking for Fred since he'd gotten back from his wanderings. After getting vague directions from different Knights throughout the castle, he'd finally been pointed in the direction of the Tavern. He spots Fred sitting at the table with another Knight and heads in that direction casually.]

Mind if I join in?

I don't know. Last guy you brought in could use some work. [Har har. He means himself. Also it's a joke :| OH HEY LOOK A NEW GUY.

Charming turns and smiles in a friendly good guy sort of way.]

Not at all! Pull up a chair.

[ fred grins widely at the intrusion ] Well, look who finally decided to show back up.

[Riddick nod's at Charming, reaching a hand out to Fred for a manly shake. His goggles dully reflect the low lights of the tavern as he looks around, taking in all the other partons.]

Yeah, I realized I forgot my back-up pair of goggles, had to come back for them. [Sarcasm always sounds so right when coming from Riddick, but there's a friendly note in his voice when answering Fred.]

[Basically any friend of Fred's is good in Charming's book.]

Don't think we've met- I'm David.

[Riddick looks at David a moment, his goggles reflecting dully in the pub's dim lights. After a moment he extends a hand.]

Richard B. Riddick.

Riddick is an old squire of mine. Passed through with flying colors.

[Obviously the only way Diana would end up in a bar of her own volition is to stumble into it unknowingly – which she just did, whoops. She’s actually looking for her bedroom, must’ve taken a wrong turn somewhere.] Oh, this definitely isn’t…

[In her defense, her sessions with Faye have left her unusually disheveled and out of sorts, and it’s obvious from her appearance. It’s nearly empty though, and she is sort of thirsty. Most bars have non-alcoholic beverages, right?]

[David turns at the sound, a lopsided smile quickly forming at the sight of the young girl.]

Turned around? [But he's not making fun- just genuinely curious and/or concerned.]

[astrae]

A little. I think I turned left when I should have turned right. Or maybe it was the other way around. [She's confused and a bit flustered, but going to make the best out of the situation anyway.] A glass of water would be nice though, now that I'm here.

[Her body is a temple, no carbonated beverages allowed :|]

No problem- have a seat. [He jumps up and offers her his so that he can go fetch that glass of water for her. Such a gentleman~]

Thanks. [And for that, he gets a beaming sixteen-year-old. She's like a literal ray of sunshine. While he's up, Diana takes in her surroundings - she's never been inside any bar, much less this one.

At least, she doesn't think she has.]

It's kind of quiet in here.

It is. I kind of like it. Gives you time to think. [He smiles at her as he settles back in at the table.]

Or time to get to know a new friend.
