[She looks up at him through her eyelashes briefly as she mixes up a drink (a Tom Collins, actually) and pushes it over to him before she makes herself a vodka martini.]

I promise, it won't happen again.

[Unless she has to...which is highly unlikely.]

I was only teasing, lass. It was a hell of a crash course in that handy trick of yours, though. [He takes the drink and lifts it in a toast before taking a drink.

If it came in handy before, it did even more so after I came through the Veil. It makes finding a place to say and clothes to wear a whole lot easier than it would have without it.

Well, no need to worry about that now that you've joined up, is there?

[She laughs and shakes her head, taking a sip of her drink.]

No, not anymore. I've definitely got that covered. Plenty of boots in the closet.

And I bet you look good in every last one of them. [He smirks against his glass before taking a long drink.]

You're quite the interesting girl, aren't you? Beautiful, talented, and a hell of a barkeep on top of it. I'm starting to wonder if there's anything you can't do.

I like to think so.

Oh, now you're just trying to flatter me.

[Not that she minds, clearly.]

Gotta stay on your good side, don't I? But I mean every word of it, lass. On my honor as a bard.

Most tend to prefer my good side to my bad side. Then again, the rest might say my bad side is more fun.

[She winks. Totally teasing. Well, mostly.]

I can't say I've met very many bards. How much honor do they usually have?

Not much. [He admits with a laugh.] But I've earned a bit more since joining up with this lot.

[As she opens up a beer bottle and takes a long sip out of it.]

Heh, suppose I've learned to be. [Oh and that might be a bit of a sad bitterness in his tone. Sore subject.]

Alright, spill. What's wrong?

[bluffcheck]

[he gives a slight laugh]

Suppose I'm losing my touch more than I thought. Tried to weave a lie for the greater good and lost the girl in the process. Trying to win her back but, ah- it's hard not to think it a lost cause.

Or maybe it's affecting you more than usual.

[And now she feels even worse about the whole succubus whammy thing. Whoops.]

Is there anything I can do to help? What's her name?

Her name's Andie- but I'm not sure what else can be done. I've got a friend helping me write her a letter. Any time I've tried to talk to her, she's just run. And when I say the girl is fast, that's only the beginning of it.

I just wish I could get her out of my head. Never had this sort of problem before. It's maddening.

And if I were you, I'd make sure that you at least write some if not all of it yourself. If she knows you well, she'll know if it was someone else. Besides, you're a bard, right. Why aren't you writing her a song?

[It won't take him long to finish the drink. He's been practicing his binge drinking lately...]

Maybe you're right. Always seems I never find the words when it comes to her. But maybe music would say it better.

[She swaps out the empty glass for the full one, washing it in the sink.]

You'll have to let me know how it goes. I'm a sucker for a good love story.

[He takes his new drink and raises it for another drink.]

[She pours herself a shot and clinks the smaller glass against his with a grin before she shoots it and starts to make that next round as well.]
