[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of this month.  Because not everyone is into parties, ok.

[Thoster attempts to repeat the phrase and does... okay, considering that he's never heard the language before, but it's certainly not ready to be heard beyond this little session (wis 11).]

Always have had a way with words. Just not so much with the written ones. Speaking of- I believe we still have to sort out the matter of that letter.

Do you have a rough draft I can fix? [Not look at. Fix.]

Afraid not. As I said before- I don't know where to begin. [He's hopeless, Lila. Take pity on the poor oaf.]

[Lila gives him such a calculating look before she holds up two fingers.] A whole letter costs two favors. And you get to answer the phone while I write it. Deal?

[bluffcheck]

You're the boss. [Possibly the worst idea he's had since asking her to help in the first place.

As if on cue, the phone rings. Thoster scoops up the receiver and answers.]

Annabell's Tavern- Spirits and ale from dusk til dawn. [A pause] Ah, friend, no worries. Happens all the time. [Bluff nat 20 so he is really convincing at being a bar owner or something right now.] Come see us if you need a night of good fun, yeah? Alright. [Click]

[She grabs a pen and flips to a clean page of her notebook. While Thoster talks, her pen skates across the page in a delicate script as she writes a god damn apologetic love letter.]

You know this might make her love you, can you deal with that? I don't do refunds. [She doesn't look up from the page so it's not that important to her, but she thought she'd mention it.]

[Setting the phone back down, he still at her words. Love? It wasn't a foreign concept to him. He touted about it plenty to know it intimately, but had he ever really loved- and would he want to love... and be loved. After a long beat of thought and a slow exhale of a breath, he looks down and mutters.]

Just get on with it. [Flowery words and dramatic gestures were for when he was pretending. When faced with the reality of things he truly felt, Thoster was much more quiet about it. In fact, the perceptive might even notice that he seems a bit afraid of the notion.]

[She keeps writing, going back and crossing some things out that seemed superfluous. She's trying to mimic Thoster's dramatics and she doesn't always get it right so it gets changed slightly every time she reads through it. After about twenty minutes more of silent writing, letting Thoster do her job, she rewrites the whole thing on a new sheet of paper and rips it out of her notebook. (Craft: writing 20 total) She holds it out to him.

It was never my intention to lie to you. I start with that because if you cannot continue reading at least you will know that much. I am sorry that my actions have created such difficult times and I accept that it is my fault; I put my duty to the knights before you. Please accept my apology.

Without you in my life it seems the light has gone out of the world, everything has faded and there is no color to me. I am so grateful to have you in my life. You are the smile on my lips, the beat in my heart, and the glimmer in my eye. I can't believe I found someone that is such a perfect match for me.

Even if you cannot accept my apology, know that you are loved and appreciated without condition, and losing you will forever be my biggest mistake. I broke your trust and your faith, perhaps irreversibly. But if there is a chance, even the smallest one, I will try every day to make up for the hurt I caused you, I will spend every day fixing the rift between us, if you could only tell me how.

She leans back in her chair.] So?

[The letter says it all, doesn't it? He's a bit in awe of how well the girl had managed to say nearly exactly what was in his head and heart but make it so composed and sensical. He has a lot of emotions but keeps himself in check (will 19). ]

Beautiful. More than a man like me deserves, but I thank you for helping a poor soul try to right a wrong.

[This is why she is so creepy, because she can twist words and thus emotions like that.]

Hope the two favors you now owe me are worth it. [Her mouth curves up in a smile. It probably isn't all that reassuring. Especially once he realizes her notebook now contains the rough drafts of that letter and proof she wrote it so if he renegs on the favors she can very easily ruin his love life.]

[She might have to remind him of that at some point down the road, because he's not really focused on what she's got on her notepad or what that smile of hers might mean (wis 12).]

We'll see if they are once I have this delivered... [Someone is getting nervous]

[Oh Jesus. Hopefully his nervousness doesn't turn into stupidity.] You have to rewrite it in your own handwriting, hope you realize that.
