[ The castle can be a happening place, even on more mundane days. This log is for random interactions over the course of this month.  Because not everyone is into parties, ok.

[ when he doesn't respond, she just lays her head on his chest, and lets out a sigh... and then throws out there: ] I think... [ she reconsiders the word, speaking more certainly: ]

[ very softly, and happily ] I love you, David.

[Well... that brings him back to reality in a hurry. He freezes, because whatever he had felt during this whole encounter? He would never call it love. He clears his throat, because wow it is suddenly really warm in here...]

Amara, I... [And he just trails off because he was not expecting that and he doesn't want to lie to her.] I don't know if...

[ she lifts her eyes to regard him cautiously ] Don't know if what?

[uncease]

[He pushes himself up slightly to half-sit.] I don't know if now is the... best time to talk about this. I should- I should go. [He shifts again to sit fully, then moves to get out of bed.]

Go? Is there somewhere you have to be? [ she draws the blanket up over her chest as she sits up as well ]

[uncease]

Yeah, I need to meet with someone. Guess I forgot. [And in a surprising twist of events, Charming actually tells a possibly convincing lie. (bluff 20 total)

He pulls on his pants and grabs for his shirt next.]

[besmitten]

Who? [ she watches him cautiously, and there's a slight edge to her voice, her tone quiet. ]

[uncease]

My mentor- Fred. [He slips his shirt on and starts to button it, finding the lie slipping just slightly (bluff 18). He grabs his socks and his shoes without putting them on and walks back over to the side of the bed, not touching her but feeling bad to cause her alarm.]

We'll... talk later, alright? [Later after he's thought about what he's done and probably banged his head against a wall a few hundred times.]

Very well. [ her words are so even that they barely sound natural at all considering how happy she was moments before. her eyes slide up him as if debating whether to try touching him herself and deciding to hold off. ] Soon?

[uncease]

Yeah. I'll... call you. [Wow did he really just say that? Cringing slightly at how dumb all of this sounds, he glances around the room and does his best to give a reassuring smile before heading for the door.

HE THEN PUTS HIS SHOES BACK ON AND FINDS A BAR IN THE CASTLE, WHERE HIS MENTOR MEETS YOU ANYWAY SO HE'S NOT EVEN A LIAR. SO THERE.]
