I think they're just in there to make people trying to learn the language go nuts trying to work out what's literal and what isn't.

He's the head of my section, so yeah. Pretty hands on for a section leader too.

You think you're gonna land in the Hide?

Yes, I can't imagine ending up anywhere else.

Not gonna lie: we've got the best gig. Straightforward, at least, unlike some of the goals Knights wind up with from the other sects.

Right with ya. Point me the direction I'm supposed to go and I'll do my job. I'd rather leave the tough decisions and the thinking to someone else.

It's not like everybody doesn't get their share of moments where they've gotta make the hard calls. [ he veers around a corner ] But in combat, the consequences of making the wrong one are more black and white.

Here and there. I got back from my third mission a couple weeks ago.

Quite a few, yeah. Had to take care of a goblin gang problem.

Can't say I've ever fought goblins before. Are they the ones you shouldn't feed after midnight

In the end, that's what really matters. It's what the Hide vows to, after all.

Our kind's the sect most likely to wind up in an early grave, so we all watch eac other's backs to prevent that day from coming any earlier than it has to.

Makes sense. Most of the guys I've run into I'd feel comfortable having watch my back, which is a plus.
