[ As the processional exits the church following after the casket, the Knights and co. might be surprised that a rather large crowd has gathered out here, apparently holding some kind of intense candlelight vigil in jade's honor, now that twilight is beginning to fall. Those who take a gander over at Burt might almost see the halo of innocence over his head as he avoids eye contact doo doo doo.

Either way, the cameras don't follow for this part, and so everyone just gets to participate in the slow walk past crying eyes of strangers who didn't even know Jade or Rafael or any of them, towards the nearby cemetery, where they position around the still open at the top casket as its placed next to the grave that will house her.

The priest begins to intone in elvish once more: final funeral rites, the long farewell bid to their kind, and the promise of reunion in the lands of light. ]

He was in love with her. And she loved him. It was a beautiful love story. You saw the footage. He's got a shady past and it just so happened to come back and bite him on the ass in the worst way, but he didn't mean to kill her and that's all we gotta prove. True love'll win a jury, won't it?

[not when one of the testimonies has to be given by a guy that the police now know was emotionally involved with Jade, but Des is banking on that not coming up or bullshitting if it does.]

[And Des looks distressed because he sure crit failed that will save. He's been coming and going between being confident that his plot will work and falling apart in private. Anderson could tap on the window at the next red light and he'd suck it up and laugh in his face, but right now, he feels like he's going to puke in Liam's fancy car, because in front of Azrael and the Grays and even the freakin' Knights, he's the definition of confident, but in front of someone he knows he doesn't need to be fearless in front of, he's a mess.]
