Yee-eah, probably. [ There's a short pause while she tries to think of something not gloomy, but not ridiculous. Saying 'puppies' right now is probably a dumb idea. ] Gar says you're pretty handy with the--the gun stuff. That you might be able to teach me?

She said that? [ he sounds... a little like a puppy himself, he's so pleased. ] I wouldn't say I'm exactly Italian gunslinger quality but I know my way around one. And yeah! We can shoot cans off a roof or... maybe something less likely to get us arrested in the city.

It would be just my luck we'd end up shooting someone's antique cans and they'd get all irritable about it. [ Random pop culture reference, anyone? ] There's gotta be, like, shooting ranges and stuff, right?

Agreed. Distraction is the name of the game right now, I think. And I think a shopping spree wouldn't be all that... productive.
