Andrew fidgets while he waits for the squires to show. He's waiting inside the lab, behind its "Biohazard" labelled doors. Once people begin to show up, he offers a stammering greeting and does his best to seem like he knows what he's doing. The sad part is, he DOES know what he's doing... He's just bad with people. People are free to look around at the grand library while he waits for the proper head count. Once he thinks everyone has arrived, he takes them up the steps. A great deal of models are suspended from the ceiling that look like space age designs for jet planes, cars, boats, and any number of other things. There are other objects that are much more inexplicable: a giant silver ball, suspended by several rods, for example.

There's another set of doors at the end of the balcony, and he swipes his access card through a reader beside them. They depress with a space age hiss. revealing a clean white laboratory, with rows and rows of tables and lab equipment set up. Numerous knights buzz around in white lab coats, working under microscopes and on computers, conferring over a number of projects.

"Just a bit further." He says with an awkward smile as he waves to a few of the lab techs that he knows. There's a door on the left side of the room with a panel that he presses his hand to, causing the light to change from red to green, unlocking the door for the group.

Beyond is a very long room, with rows of labelled cases and cabinets with transparent glass revealing what's inside. Andrew moves to shift from one foot to the other on the other side of the stainless steel table.

[Andrew points over to some aluminum cases lined up along the floor.]

That's your Excalibur. It's our signature issued firearm- a modified Glock 17 handgun. You don't have to take one, but if you do, there's weapons training to make sure you get certified to carry and use it in the field. We get that not everyone wants to use a gun, but if you do...

[He trails off and opens one of the cases to show off what's inside. The weapon is located inside with the Knight's symbol of a dragon on the handle, and the words EXCALIBUR across the barrel. Below it are located several 17 shot magazines and a silencer.]

Just... don't mess around, alright, guys? If you're found out to be misusing the weapon, you could end up not being granted full knighthood in the order. I've seen some people wash out because they didn't take it seriously.

[Jimmy tests the weight of the pistol in his hand. There's another thing he's inexperienced with, guns. The only time he's ever seen conflict was when he was the host for something greater.]

Is there a shooting range?

[That'd be a good start from practicing.]

[He nods] That's all down with the weapons training folks. They've got targets to set up. Plenty of people to ask for pointers, if you want 'em.

I'll do that later.

[He wanted to just get used to having the weapon in his hands first. Violence isn't really in his nature but he has a mean streak and gaining experience is better than walking headfirst into a mission situation with nothing up his sleeve.]

Thanks. Is there anyone you'd recommend?

Any of 'em, really. I mean some like Lan and Dovan are a bit stuck back in the old ways. Swords and all that. Maybe talk to someone who's grown up with the modern stuff? Fred and Eric are good for that. Fred's friendlier, though.

Just... stay away from Kat, alright? She's been off on a mission for awhile, and the girl knows her weapon, but... You'll pick up a lot of bad habits that way.

Should I be taking notes?

[He's pretty sure he'd remember Fred and Eric. He had a knack for names.]

What's wrong with Kat?

She's just... Kind of a wild card. She's good! [God don't tell her that he was talking shit. The girl will murder him.] But she's not exactly the teacher type.

Okay. I'll steer clear. Not a big deal.

Good. Anything else you want to know? [Guns are not his expertise, but he is field trained so he knows a little.]

No, I think I'm good. Thanks. For all of this.

[And not sucking at it???? He is the most surprised.]

[ Sebastian carefully picked up the gun making a face. Where was the skill to something like this? He wasn't sure he liked it but it was a challenge so he would certainly give it a try. ]

How do we find out about the training? [ He figured he would be sticking to his sword but more skills are always handy.]

The folks over in the Dragon's Hide will be contacting you to set you up with training. After the first go, it's up to you how often you go for practice.

Sounds easy enough. So, are you a fan of them? This weapon I mean.

[ He's curious of what the other's answer was. He seemed smart enough.]

Well... I mean- I don't really prefer to get close enough if I can help it.

[Hi, he's kind of a coward.] Which I guess is part of the draw of this thing. You can keep your distance. So, I mean- if it's this or get up close and personal? Yeah, I'm a fan.

[Bambi showed up late to this entire meeting. With coffee. So she's been hanging in the back, taking her fancy credit card and being unobtrusive for once in her life.

But guns. She's not afraid of them. She's just not good at them and she knows it. And Bambi has made a lifetime of not doing things she's not good at and overcompensating when she has to. And like hell if she's washing out because she can't shoot.]

Hey, Professor. [She waves her empty coffee cup to get his attention.] Are these mandatory? Because I'd like to donate mine to a starving orphan in Africa who has been a victim of gang violence and needs a superhero origin story. You guys are into that sort of thing, right?

No one's going to make you use a gun. [Maybe you should show up on time and not miss important bits, Bambi :| ] But if you don't want it, you just leave it here. [No you can't mail your gun to Africa, jfc.]

Feels like such a waste of company resources to me. [siiip] Maybe someone else can have two- preferably someone who knows what a gun is.

[She is so Veil racist sometimes.]

It isn't branded with your name on it. We just have extras because we never know how many recruits we'll have each month. Sometimes its none, sometimes its bloody fifteen. We like to be prepared.
