The big day has finally arrived.  As media coverage rises to a frenzied fever pitch, Jaka's final preparations are completed, and the team assembles to head down for the trial of Rafael Giovanni.   

Large crowds are gathered outside, some of whom tote signs condemning Rafael as a murderer, others pledging their support and love for the singer.  Police officers keep order, and hold the crowds back as the stars are led up the steps and inside the courthouse.  

They'll have some time to convene with Burt and Jaka in a private room before the trial itself begins.  Unfortunately, Jaka still hasn't shared the change in plans that he and Des discussed in private...

[ jaka doesn't stop smirking for a second, as if to undermine the confidence of the prosecution, making it seem as if her argument is so weak as to be amusing. he turns towards the bench and spreads his hands. ] No other witnesses, Your Honor.

[ the judge rubs his temple and folds his hands on top of the podium. "Very well. That will end today's session - we'll reconvene once the prosecution and jury have had the chance to review this new... evidence." He does not sound particularly pleased about jaka's little trick of tossing a whole bunch of unplanned hoohah into the fray, whatsoever. He bangs his gavel. "Dismissed." There's a bit of a murmur in the courtroom and Jaka turns back to smirk at Failboat, as Burt glances around, one hand slung over the back of the bench. Everyone is ordered to rise as the judge departs, and then sweet freedom is afforded to them all. ]

[Arianna hates everything. But she's going to get up, pack up her stuff, and she's going to go investigate that there evidence.]

[Myri breathes out a long exhale, not realizing that she had been holding her breath for part of that. She rises when needed and turns towards the door when they're released. The shock of the trial's turn may have shocked her into silence. She just keeps close to the others and shuffles out of the room.]

[ kat, meanwhile, pipes up as they're walking towards the door ] You know, that was a lot less boring than I expected a major trial to be...

It was... certainly unexpected. Did anyone..? [She turns and glances at all of them.] Did anyone know that Des was going to..?

[She can't really find a way to politely say 'lie and throw Jade under the bus super hardcore.']

[Her voice is hard as she also follows them out of the courtroom. She can't say anything for the rest of them, but she hopes they didn't have anything to do with it too. She doesn't think she can stand to be mad at anyone else.]

I've a feeling he kept it from us very purposefully.
