The "afterparty" is rumored to be the real main event of the night. A black-tie affair in the lavish, opulent ballroom, it is every new Knight's chance to mingle and meet some of their new brothers in arms. Of course, a couple hours are provided following the ceremony for everyone to change, do hair and makeup, and choose from the vast array of formal attire in the closets of the balcony "dressing rooms" located at the top of spiraled staircases on either side of the ballroom. A separate dressing room exists for men and women, and they include full bathrooms (with, thankfully, very modern plumbing).

The squires are usually among the last to arrive, and the ballroom is full to the brim with a fancy array of people, of all shapes, sizes and species.

Hope you aren't shy. They're all here to meet you.

Feel free to make your own open threads for people to come congratulate your newly pledged knight.

ooc; also if your Knight wants to get all gussied up, you can make a Disguise (Cha) check for how good they were at hair/makeup/stylin', etc! This goes for... any time.

Well, since the sweet scent is quite strong, it smells more like cherry syrup rather than a normal cherry. But yeah, cherry. Quite a nice smell, isn't it?

Like a Shirley Temple? [ that's so cool, honestly. cherry voice, red aura, maybe she should start thinking about that color in her clothes more often since it seems to be following her around. ]

Yeah, like the drink. You're quite blessed, I guess. Sweet face, sweet voice, and sweet personality. All in one package. [He chuckles as he flirts.] Whoever your boyfriend is must be lucky, unless behind all that is a man-eating werewolf who seduces man and eats them while on bed. [That almost happened to him once.]

If such a thing existed, I would be sure to remind him how lucky he would be. Especially so seeing as I am not at all a werewolf. [ she shudders deliately, briefly imagining the psi-hounds from home. she says nothing about the man-eating part since it's not far off. ]

Really? No boyfriend? If you're not a werewolf, I wouldn't mind filling that position for you. [He chuckles as he jokingly winks.] Technically, I don't mind dating a werewolf as long as they don't try to eat me, but you know, it's hard to find one that doesn't try to gouge you.

[ she laughs a little, not unkindly. ] Sadly I think some of your requirements take me off the table. [ she smiles again, still sweet as ever, but this time there is a hint of her fangs. whoops! ]

[Yikes! Are those fangs? (spot 18) Act normally, Brantley! Must act normally. Too bad at time like this his experience with fangs and claws only worsen the condition(will 8). His eyes go wide as he withdraws a step.]

Wha..!

[What are you doing to a lady, Brantley! Quick, say something nice to fix the situation!]

I mean wow, you look sharp with those fangs.

Sorry, just a bit startled. I had a bad experience with claws and fangs. [Awkward laugh.] I'm sure you don't bite. So, you have fangs and not a werewolf, I'm guessing vampire, right? [He seems calmer with his smile but still full with awkward tension.]

Yes, but not the kind your imagining. [ she taps her necklace aside and a tiny silver cross necklace rests hidden underneath the other charm, against her skin. ]

[A vampire cleric who wears holy symbol around her neck, that's new.] A silver cross, wow! What kind of vampire are you? Are you sure you aren't an angel instead? [Regaining his usual composure, he smiles as he inserts the flirtatious comment.]

[ she laughs softly, shaking her head. ] No, I'm pretty sure I'm not an angel. I'm a Moroi. Um, a living vampire.

Living vampire? So, you're not immortal or anything? Do you drink blood?

[Does she hate garlic? Does she have reflection? Can she turn into a bat? Does she sparkle under the sun? Brantley has tons of other questions but he'll hold it for now.]

So, you're basically normal human who likes to drink blood? [He tilt his head a bit.]

Essentially, yeah. [ she shrugs. ]

I'm still up for that position then. I'm not sure an old man like me is your type, but I'm not a bad boyfriend material. [He chuckles a bit.] Well, if you'll excuse me, I need to use the loo.
