WHO || Andrew Gatewood and Bo Dennis (closed)
WHAT || A (first?) date
WHERE || London
WHEN || 8pm, Saturday Sept 14th
HOW || Either works for me
Andrew is nervous. He nearly talked himself out of going through with this half a dozen times, today alone. He arrives in the front lobby area of the castle about 15 minutes early and that's when the pacing starts. There's a slight squeak from his shoes each time he turns to walk back the way he came, as if he's trying to wear a hole in the fancy floors. One hand toys anxiously with the keys to one of the cars in the garage that he plans to take them out in. The other keeps a tight grip on his phone, checking the time every thirty seconds.

"Me? Dragon's Hoard. We're sort of more behind the scenes. Some do the research stuff- books or experiments. All sorts of cutting edge things with artifacts that are brought back from missions. I'm more on the tech side. Computers."
no subject
"For the record, before you even give me any excuses, yes. Intelligence can be hot. No girl wants to talk to someone who's dumb, alright?"
She just might not always follow, but she's very good at asking questions.
"So do you write programs and code and things like that, or are you some super secret hacker?"
no subject
"Little bit of both, I guess. Most missions, I'm the one riggin the security cameras to loop so that we can get in and out without being seen. Stuff like that." Somehow he makes it sound so much less impressive. He's too humble for his own good, really.
no subject
"That is awesome." Because Bo here usually just gives people the succubus whammy or a kick on the groin with her boots, depending on if they person is nice or not. "If we ever get sent on a mission together, I think we'd be quite the team."

To keep things moving forward, wow look at that city of London! Andrew takes a right and slows, parking the car and giving her a more nervous smile. Making this choice had been easy before, but now he was going to see if this actually paid off.
"We're here." He gets out of the car and remembers to go run around to get her door (again, saved by the rom coms). As Bo emerged, the sign for Gino's was large and obvious and... neon. There another word under it, flashing just as bright. Arcade.

Yay London is pretty! Such lights much gorgeous very trendy.
Bo looks out the window of the car, a smile spreading across her face as she gets out, letting Andrew open the door for her. She's seriously not used to this gentlemen thing. Chivalry isn't dead after all.
"Creativity and fun points achieved. Plus, I have to admit, I have a thing for pizza and french fries." Which is likely what they'll serve here. This girl does greasy like a boss.
...It helps when you have succubus genes to keep you hot.

"Pizza's great here, actually. Pepperoni and pineapple's my usual but we can do something else, if you'd like." Yeah, he has a usual order here. The employees may know him by name. The arcade is large, loud, and bright. There's a small food court area off to one side with some tables but the majority of the area is just full to the brim with games.
"I can order one and ask em to make it fresh. It would take a few minutes but maybe we can play something in the meantime?" It's obvious that he's more comfortable here, even with her. "Ladies choice for the game, of course."
no subject
"Hawaiian with some kick. I can dig it." She glances around the area, looking at the games, looking happy and thoughtful as she tries to choose a game.
"We need something cooperative first," she muses aloud to herself, spotting a familiar relatively old shooter game. Better to play something together before they did anything competitive. "Time Crisis?"
no subject
"You want to go get some tokens to start us off and claim the game? I'll get the pizza order in and meet you over there."
no subject
"You got it. See you in a little bit."
She takes the money with a grin, turning and walking over to the token machine, feeding them in and collecting the little gold discs that pour out. She stuffs most of them into her very constricting pockets before making her way over to the machine, putting out four on the counter so he can join her in the game when he makes it over, putting her own in to start the game while she waits.

The pizza ordering process doesn't take very long. They give him a little disc that will vibrate when the order is ready. Andrew slips it into his pocket and turns back to find his date. She's easy enough to spot, seeing as she's the most gorgeous person walking around this place.
At least, that's what Andrew thinks.
Coming up to the game, he takes the coins and slips them in, glancing over at her with a nervous little smile. Approaching her is the hard part, because part of him feels like one of these times, she's going to realize who she's with and just get the hell out of there.
"Need some back up?" He tries to sound casual as he waits for his side of the game to boot up.
no subject
She's only a short portion of the way into the first level, taking out two guys that pop out before she gives him a quick grin.
"Hop on in, partner."
Yes, that could totally be taken sexually. Oops.
no subject
"You're pretty good." He comments as he takes his first shot. He's probably got more experience firing these guns than his own issued Excalibur. But it's hard for him to do very well at the game when he keeps glancing at her out of the corner of his eye.
She's very distracting, okay?
no subject
"Even the best gunslingers need reliable back-up," she returns, stealing a glance at him as well as their characters move toward the next area of the level.
"So you have excellent timing."
no subject
"Behind that crate!" He shouts before shooting someone that was just about to get Bo. This may be his only opportunity to really save the day and be that particular kind of hero.
no subject
"Thanks for the save," she said, as they moved onto the boss, shooting off-screen to reload. "The guy would have hit me for sure."
no subject
"You ready for this?" He gets the feeling they'll be alright. But only if she carries them through the level, because Andrew's starting off pretty bad with an attack of 10...
no subject
"Damn right, I am."
And apparently she kicks ass (rng attack 21). They take down the boss while taking minimal damage themselves, because apparently they're a great videogame team.
no subject
"Wow, that was... You were amazing." He may or may not seem more stunned by how hot she is now than he was when he first saw her. Because she can play games and play them well and she's just more unbelievable than he previously thought.
Also, this is great timing because clearing out that level and boss battle was just enough time for their pizza to cook. The guy at the counter waves to get Andrew's attention.
"Huh? Oh- guess our food's done." He puts the gun back in it's holster for the game and gestures for her to follow him back to the food court so they can grab a table.
no subject
She hasn't had this kind of good clean fun in a long time and it's really refreshing and...nice.
They make their way over to grab the pizza, and she snags two cups for fountain beverages. "What do you want to drink? I'll grab it for you."
no subject
It's funny that the more you TRY to act natural, the less natural you act.
He gets the pizza and brings it over to a table for two, fumbling a little with plates and napkins while she gets the drinks.
no subject
She turns and grabs two cokes, one regular and one cherry, with half ice, before she heads back to the table he grabbed, sipping at hers through her straw and slipping into one of the seats.
"This looks so good," she says, setting down the other drink by him. "People who swear off greasy food are crazy."

She partially folds the huge piece as she picks it up, listening to him speak even as she takes that first bite. And it's warm and cheesy and spicy and sweet and amazing. She makes a little partial moan of bliss as she chews and swallows.
She's not even being deliberately awful right now. It's just damn good pizza.
"I highly doubt the pizza takes a back seat to anyone who actually puts the games down to try it," she says. She lowers the slice in order to give him a serious but happy look. "And I'm flattered that you'd bring me to a place that you feel so strongly about."
no subject
If this doesn't work out, Andrew is in trouble, because the bar is going to be set ridiculously high from now on.
"I'm just glad you like it. Sort of felt like a gamble." Big risk, big reward, right? "But just so you know? This isn't our only stop tonight. I mean... if you don't get too mad at me when I beat the pants off you at air hockey." He manages a grin.
