Unlike the grandiose nature of the squiring ceremony each Knight undergoes upon their initial entrance into the Knighthood, the graduation to Full Knight status takes place in a much more intimate affair, between the Knight, their mentor, invited friends, and the members of the sect to which they will be inducted. There's no pompous music, no stolid rank and file, no elaborate march.

Faye's invitees are given seats of honor at the front of the ranks of the Dragon's Fire members  and Nessa, Wynn, and Hasmed wait up at the front of the room for Faye to approach them, but the attitude of the ceremony is much more relaxed, full of smiles and light conversation on all sides from the other sect members.

Wynn finally gets things rolling, by saying in his loud listen-to-me voice: "Approach and kneel, Sir Faye Chamberlain."

So how come I've never seen you before?

[attollores]

Probably because I've been away on missions for quite some time. [This one is feisty.]

[reallywicked]

Oh yeah? Welcome back, I guess. [She's just extra prickly at first. It's nothing personal.]

[attollores]

[Alainn grins at Faye. She likes prickly people.] Thank you. I'm glad to be back, I've missed this place. And apparently I've missed much in my absence, with as many new faces around as there are.

How long have you been with the Knights?

[reallywicked]

Since May. [It feels longer in some ways, shorter in others.] So do missions normally keep you away so long. [Her tone is slightly judgy. Hers haven't really taken long at all, so she sort of assumes you're doing something wrong...]

[attollores]

It all depends on the mission. Some may take no more than a day, some can take over a year. The length is determined by what it is that needs to be accomplished. [She smiles again with a mischievous light sparkling in her eyes.]

[reallywicked]

So what were you trying to accomplish? [She's not assuming you were successful. She's a bitch like that.]

[attollores]

If I knew you had the level of clearance required to know that information then I would gladly tell you. [Take that you non-believer]

[reallywicked]

[Which will earn her an eye roll.]

Whatever. So now that you're back, I guess I'll be seeing you around. [Her fancy new sect that she... knows very little about, really.]

[attollores]

I'm sure you will. [She gives Faye a small smile.]

So... any tips or tricks I should know about?

[attollores]

Aye. Never stop exploring your gift, and never ever take it for granted. Never stop learning what you are capable of and you'll be fine. [She sobers as she says this, giving Faye a serious look.]

[She doesn't even have anything snarky to add here. That was some good advice and she plans to take it to heart.]

So Faye, what made ye choose the Dragon's Fire? Have ye always had an interest in magic?

[reallywicked]

Not long after I got here, I figured out I had it. And I liked it, so I kept looking into it. Mr. Gold was teaching me a little between missions. What about you? How'd you get into it?

[attollores]

It seems as though we have our introduction to magic in common. I realized I had magic quite quickly after I arrived and I realized not everyone else had a familiar they could talk to like I can with Fede.

Who is Mr. Gold? [She has been gone a really long time okay.]

The GQ mother fucker over there. [She points him out casually, a little pleased to know someone that the more seasoned knight didn't. It's the little things okay.]
