Unlike the grandiose nature of the squiring ceremony each Knight undergoes upon their initial entrance into the Knighthood, the graduation to Full Knight status takes place in a much more intimate affair, between the Knight, their mentor, invited friends, and the members of the sect to which they will be inducted. There's no pompous music, no stolid rank and file, no elaborate march.

Faye's invitees are given seats of honor at the front of the ranks of the Dragon's Fire members  and Nessa, Wynn, and Hasmed wait up at the front of the room for Faye to approach them, but the attitude of the ceremony is much more relaxed, full of smiles and light conversation on all sides from the other sect members.

Wynn finally gets things rolling, by saying in his loud listen-to-me voice: "Approach and kneel, Sir Faye Chamberlain."

That pirate movie had it right when they said they were more like guidelines.

Totally. Otherwise, why else do they put them there?

Personally, I am always one for testing my limits.

It's good for us, really. We're learning to test boundaries and think outside the box and how far we can push ourselves. [ trust lila to spin that shit in a glowing light. ]

And I'm pretty sure we'd get thrown in jail for ... treason or something if we're caught.

[She shrugs.]

It would take a lot of planning. Their security is no joke.

I think it would probably be espionage since neither of us are technically citizens of Great Britain. [ which is probably worse, tbqh. like, really, zacharov, how is that comforting. ]
