training ♔ thursday morning
WHO || Fredrick Jr., Dovan Ironsides, Luthir Reedhym, entirely open
WHAT || Weapons training
WHERE || Knights HQ, Training Room / Armory / Firing Range / Gym, Dragnon's Hide wing, 2nd floor
WHEN || Thursday, Feb. 16th, from 10am onwards
HOW || Actionspam
Just like Fred said, at the top of the main staircase is the entrance to an incredibly spacious room, that has gym and weight training equipment on the wall near the door, and then lots of old school training dummies and more at the far end. A glass door enters into a firing range, and another pair of large doors on the farthest wall lead to the armory.
The room's full of the clanging of metal, as Dovan and Luthir fight, sword to axe, across the room, and Fred gathers everyone up on the gym side to explain things.

He wasn't much feeling the swords, though he knew the basics on how to use one, but he much preferred the feel of a dagger or shiv in his hand. He immediately went over to see their selection of smaller blades, carefully examining each.
Finally he came upon a pair of
Ulak Blades and a slow grin spread across his face. Now these were something he had been looking a long time for. He never thought he'd find them here in this time, though.]
Now this is what I'm talking about.

Is that your go-to?

Haven't found a weapon I liked better than something much like these. Perfect for gripping, grappling and slicing. Great for close-quarters combat, my specialty.

... Riddick, right?

maybe slightly menacingsmile on his face.]Richard B. Riddick, but yeah. Riddick work's just fine.

Fred. Heard you're gonna be my squire.

He was here to try and... change his life around after all. Still, small talk was never his strong suit.]
Ah. I'd forgotten that little detail.

I probably will have other questions at some point, but my first one is: Are we allowed to modify the weapons that we are supplied?
[He picks the blades up again, hefting their weight, excited to see if Lis'sa really could get these the way he wanted them. Either way he's planning on modifying them, even if they aren't allowed. So far as he was concerned, then blades were his now.
Perhaps he should start to get over the "finders keepers" feeling he had about things, but when you live your life one way for so long it's a hard habit to break.]

[Unbeknownst to Riddick, while he talks about Lis'sa his face gets a certain look that is hard to place, but could almost be called intrigue for anyone who knew him well enough. Has he ever mentioned just how much he loves a challenge?]

[Riddick is ridiculously pleased to hear that he was one of the rare few to get her talking to him, and he also feels the need to defend her choice to say nothing when she had nothing interesting to talk about. They were a lot alike in that, among other things.]

So Fred, whaddya do? [He nods out towards the rest of the training room in question.]

He cringed internally thinking of having to get lessons from anybody on anything, but he also knew that swords were more than slashing and stabbing.
He had taught himself everything he knew, from reading to killing. He knew where that had gotten him. Maybe learning from someone else would be okay.]
