Just like Fred said, at the top of the main staircase is the entrance to an incredibly spacious room, that has gym and weight training equipment on the wall near the door, and then lots of old school training dummies and more at the far end. A glass door enters into a firing range, and another pair of large doors on the farthest wall lead to the armory.

The room's full of the clanging of metal, as Dovan and Luthir fight, sword to axe, across the room, and Fred gathers everyone up on the gym side to explain things.

I don't think so? But it's just for practice. You know, so you can be ready when it's time to fight the real bad guys.

I suppose that makes sense.

[The concept is still foreign to her. She was well trained in healing arts, but any self defense was something she learned as she went along. And for the most part, her instinct was flight, not fight.]

I just don't know where to begin.

I've seen enough war to know that killing is a simple enough thing to do once you are taught the right methods. But I'm not entirely certain I want to learn.
