Most mission briefs include at least a day's prior notice before their scheduled time. The message that goes out to Fred Jr., Miles, Astrid, Faye, and Taradiddle, however, tells them to meet right away.

Just as before, accessing the secret room where the Round Table is housed requires using the Knight's keycard to open the glass case beside the mural of the War in Heaven, located across from the ballroom entrance. Using the fire extinguisher as a lever to activate the "door" mechanism reveals the long torch-lit hall plastered in artwork depicting the Knight's history. The tenants of the Knighthood hang large and foreboding over the doors at the end of the hall, which stand open to reveal the brightly lit Round Table, and the majestic crystalline dragon statue presiding over it.

Come in, find a seat, meet your teammates if you haven't already. No one is here when the first of you arrives.

[Newly promoted Faye is actually motivated to be prompt. After receiving the summons, she doesn't waste any time getting to the round table room. She slips inside and finds a seat. Pretty sure she's never been first, but times are changing, I guess.]

[ fred saunters in next, moving to take a seat about a quarter of the way around the table from her. ] Well, if it isn't Miss Dragon's Fire Noob. Congrats on the promotion.

[astrid seems to have taken the message to meet right away to mean something is on fire from the way she barges in. looking unkempt because what do you mean sleeping until almost 3 p.m. isn't socially acceptable??? but then she sees it's just fred and faye in the room, and her expression shifts to something more like whatever.]

[she plops down in a seat and starts digging in her bag for a hairbrush.]

[Faye can't help but smile at Fred's comment.]

News travels fast. [Just then, Astrid arrives. Faye wrinkles her nose slightly. Get ur shit 2gether gurl.]

[Taradiddle peeks around the door before stepping in.] Is this the mission briefing? [She more fully lets herself in. She's wearing a shirt with a unicorn on it under her grey cloak. She walks over and pulls herself into one of the chairs. Her legs dangle. She's pretty used to it. #gnomeworldproblems]

It'd be kind of an excessive place for a bingo rally.

[Oh sweet, Wynn isn't here, so he's not late. He gives a half wave to the group before planting himself in a chair.]

If it was bingo, we'd probably all be a hell of a lot older, too.

[ wynn's double doors open and that magnificent bright light pours out making it hard to see before they close again, leaving him standing there, looking them over. ]

I appreciate your prompt arrival. You may have noticed I called upon you all on very short notice, but we have an unusual situation that must be addressed quickly. We received intelligence just now describing an attack by some wild animal that the London police went to investigate after an anonymous tip came through. The officers found a body inside an abandoned warehouse close to the freeway. They reported that the corpse was horribly mutilated - it looked like it had been torn apart and then partially devoured. We don't know whether the body was that of the man who tipped the police or not.

This isn't the first such incident that's occurred. In fact, it's the fourth vicious assault reported within a week. But this is the first time they've been able to find a body in reasonable condition.

There's a possibility that the creature behind this is Shadow in nature. I need your team to go down there and determine what we're dealing with, locate it, and find a way to stop it.
